- Gumpus13Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0Had this recommended to me by a friend and I was not disappointed. Usually, it takes me well over a year to get through a book of this length but I finished it in almost a week! Watching Alan grow from a almost nothing to his ending strength was a joy. The meticulous details of his construction, crafting, cultivation and the magic system was really interesting to read as well. The chemistry between Tamee and Alan feels organic and their dialogue is natural. I noticed a few continuity errors in that some of the skill levels are inconsistent (for example when aura reading cracks 100 and then goes back into the nineties), but this was not enough to bring the rating down from 5. I'd recommend this read to anyone, and in fact already have.
- twoforcememberRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Glad to see Alan back at it. The chaos of war really lets his military background show through. Can't wait to see how he chooses to progress! So many choices.... So far (and I'm only like 8 chapters in) it's interesting to see him in a position where he is spending more time as part of a party than soloing.
