Silence: A Tale of Song and Shadow(Book One)

Not everyone runs because they're afraid.In the world known as the Great Melody, it has been five hundred years since the last time that the Songs of Light and Darkness, Lumina and Rézavaz, directed their interests personally, speaking through the mouthpiece of the powerful Anthems. That age came to an end after the Battle of Murmur, when the armies of both Songs clashed and nearly tore the Great Melody apart, and their mother, the goddess Ñaiyhæra, punished them with a great quiet. But every silence comes to an end, and Ñaiyhæra's children are nothing if not patient. Soon, they will waken, and none among the world that went on without them know what age they might bring about.

But in the Pentaris Galactic Cluster, where action on the Material Plane occurs most heavily, has other concerns in the immediate. The cold war between the five Factions, brought on twenty years ago by the end of the Requiem Crisis, is still ongoing, and in the shadows, new forces are just beginning to emerge. As the horizon darkens and the end of the Silence draws ever nearer, five individuals from across the Cluster must chart their paths carefully—because if they can't, their actions could very well destroy what remains of the fragile peace and hurl Pentaris into a total galactic war.
