Description

Book 1 has been removed from Royal Road and the edited version is now availablehere.~~~A magical apocalypse? Monsters and mayhem? A war with aliens?

Sorry, that's a no from Rory. Sadly, his happy retirement ends when he crashes his truck to save a kid. When he wakes up, he finds nearly everyone has evacuated his town, leaving him behind to figure out this new system that grants classes and skills through magical coins called Sigils.

He's got a Legendary Sigil — it lets him turn anything in the world into a Sigil, at the cost of not being able to use them himself. That's fine. He's too old to fight anyway. Punching monsters makes his arthritis flare and dodging fireballs leaves him bedridden for days. Instead, Rory is going to gather the survivors and make sure they have the best Sigils possible.

The apocalypse didn't end Rory's retirement, it just gave him a new line of business.

Sigil Weaver is a LitRPG Apocalypse story, with a focus on slice-of-life elements and exploring magic. Updates daily!

A very unique take on the system apocalypse genre, the main character's main role is to empower everyone else with the Sigils he can create. It has a much more collaborative feel than similar stories, and I'm liking the group dynamics here. It makes sense for this old man to still have something useful to do, even if it's the end of the world, it's nice that he cares so much about helping others. This has a lot of potential, and I'm excited to see it grow.

the story is good, and many not just some of the characters have some real texture. The only real problem with the story is that the pacing of plot development is so fast it is pure wish fulfillment.
It's just hard to invest when everything flies by so fast.

It is a very good story and since I started reading I don't put it down until I finished it.
There are some gramer errors but they are easily overlooked. The carictuers are personable and it it truly fun to have a MC that suffers as any old mad would.  It is a fress perspective on a game lit genre.

The premise of being a sigil weaver is super exciting, but feels poorly done.
The writting quality and story telling is decent. The real problem is the loopholes created in the weaving power. He has an easy way to power but doesn't seem to use it.
Could have been a good story but now I understand why it didn't bloom.

I really like the concept of sigil weaving, however, that skill has been underwhelmingly used. The story is overly emphasizing how old/weak the MC is and there's so much dumb peripheral things, caused by too many other characters, that is happening around the MC .
I would suggest the author to restart this story taking into consideration all the critiques and suggestions from the readers.

23 chapters and it's still the same day. It's a really really slow progression. Like super slow its so frustrating. And the MC don't use his Sigil intelligently. Almost all of the characters don't think that logically. The characters don't have so much of a personality and are simply there for the sake of having other people beside the MC, his wife even does not feelik like a person she's like a manequin. Everything in this story feels so out of place. Everything is just so awkward. The Characters, the plot, the chapter titles and more.

There is a massive loophole for his power. He can't use sigils with external effects but can use sigils that only affect his body.
I dont know about how effective he would be in combat as I dropped this at chapter 2 but considering the mechanics of his power I feel cheated.
If the MC isn't an old guy that is too lazy to fight and train his powers. I dont see any reason for him to be helplesss in a fight like the other review said.
EDIT: I got to lower the rating because like the other reviewer said. The characterizations are shit
