Description

On another boring day, Alaya witnesses an event that could change her day. After a green dot flashes on the base's radar, she sends a novice into a blizzard to look for the object that piqued her curiosity. When the novice disappears into the snow, and a warning pops up on her panel stating that the base is being invaded, Alaya must scour the corridors of her base to find what has taken the order out of her routine.

    This story is straightforward , the MC is a dog girl soldier manning an isolated Arctic base with A single human male subordinate. It appears to be a shit detail as they are totally alone at this base in a desolate frozen waste for half a year.  Plus Scott the subordinate isn't a member of Mensa as he still can't use his computer terminal after being on base with nothing else to do the entire time.
    They notice a radar blip and poor Scott the underachiever is sent to investigate. Turns out it is an invasion force of alien worms!  Scott lasts about as long as you'd expect, so it's up to MC to kick ass.
    It's OK, respect to the author for writing it.
