Shadows Pact

In a world filled with magic harnessed through the elements or the gods, a kid who always dreamed of being able to control magic finds out that both the elements and gods have rejected him on his day of ascension. With a heavy heart, he decides it is better to run off and die in the woods than face the disgrace he would bring his family. He finds a book containing secrets to making pacts with beings from other worlds. What would you do to make your dreams come true? Make a sacrifice to a demon? A deal with an angel? Or kill a god?
