This intimate story, written with love from parent to child, radiates warmth throughout that seeps into every sentence.
The author weaves a richly textured world through poetic prose which pulls you in. Deep with imagery and mystery.
Style: Poetic and lingering, the author creates a world that is clear and real enough to be felt.
Mixed with much internal dialog and thought, it paints an evocative picture both graphically and emotionally.
Extensive - yet easy to take in.
Story: While the flowery language makes for striking imagery, it does somewhat meander and halt the pacing.
I find myself sometimes rushing to get to the interesting bits, past details of seemingly less importance.
For anyone with even a trace of patience however, this is a minor inconvenience as the richness within deserves the time.
Grammar: Simply immaculate, sentences vividly descriptive and flowery. Clear and well structured, it makes for a relaxing read.
Character: The protagonist is fraught with emotion that make him truly human.
It is clear that the author wants us to come along on Caelum's emotional journey as he gets whisked along into things beyond reason.
The wavering mind of a young character could perhaps be unappealing to adult readers, yet it does stay true to him.
For anyone looking for a warm, heartfelt read with real emotions and tangible mystery,
this novel simply disappears into the whirling void and sucks you in with it.
