Description

Damien Sinclair, despite his bizarre name, was a relatively ordinary young man, fresh out of high school with few prospects in his life. Then, through a cosmic accident outside of everyone's control, he ends up on Xaunis, a world both familiar and foreign to his own in several ways, not the least of which being the fact that magic is real, he's seeing screens straight out of video games, and the very fundamentals of what he understands about reality is inherently wrong.

But despite these challenges, Damien will meet them with a head held high and a smile on his face. After all... one does not cheat death and simply waste a second chance.

As Isekai LitRPG's go, this one is quite good. There's a well executed explanation for the main character's rebirth, and it even provides a rationale for why he is given powerful advantages in this new life. The gamelit aspects are relevant and meaningful, without an overwhelming amount of system messages. Cool premise, good writing. Check it out!

Im not good at analysing stuff but so far the story is pretty much everything I hoped for when I started reading it. It has a decent mc, an interesting storyline as well as universe and a simple, neat system with a pretty clean interface(as opposed to a wall of text full of individual skill levels). I think it fulfills every criterion to be a fun and exciting read(thus the 4,5 stars).

The story is just getting started, so there's not much to say about that yet.
The mc is relatively standard, but not bad.  Not a fool, not a bastard, just enough back story and personalit so far to not be boring.  Has a few too many free advantages starting out for my liking, but at least he is working hard now.
There are relatively few side characters sofar, one adventuring friend, one potential love interest friend, and a teacher. None of which have been fleshed out much yet, which is not surprising concidering how early it is in the story. Though what has been shown sofar hints at something more to each of them than what we know.
The setting has barely been explored yet, seems like a rather standard fantasy world done well enough.
Grammar is fine. A few typos here and there but nothing that takes me out of the story.
Overall I like where this is going.  I do hope that there are fewer ex-machina moments and no more unearned abilities going forward, but that's a minor thing unless the author goes crazy with it.
