Sever the Chains

Born in the outskirts of Emperias, Esther is a selfish, naive, and arrogant young man. All he has ever known is the the care of his religious grandparents. His dreams and goals were things he hardly considered, only taking the few things he could in life that would push him towards continuing on.

When his grandparents die due to the attack of a madman, Esther sets out to gain the power to protect himself and those he cares about. Along the way he will discover that the divine may not be as fictitious as he thought.

Esther has one goal: find his reason for living. He plans to do whatever is necessary to attain what he wants. No one will stop him from that.

This is my first story so I can only offer you a few expectations. it will not be the best but any feedback will definitely help me improve as an author. If it gets to a point where I feel I've improved enough, I will rewrite this story.

What to expect:

Slow Burn - I want to take my time and make characters as good as possible.

Special Magic System - I'm trying out a random idea that came into my head while writing this story. I got tired of the standard magic systems.

Bad Grammar - I'll try my best to keep up with any mistakes but I may miss one or two.

Weak to Strong - I hope I do this correctly. I want my main character to be competent but weak. He'll still catch a few wins.

Honorable Mentions - Dungeons, quests, adventures, an attempt at a political story line, and maybe war tactics
