Seed of Desire

Somewhere in the universe, there was thirst for knowledge, thirst for perfection, thirst for one species above all, and so trough hard work, and death, it turned into a seed, and found its place on Earth.

Year is 2040, humanity has been stagnated in their technological advancment for few years now, its resources slowly running dry, however all that will change once they get connected to the rest of the universe, and mana seeps onto their planet. Struggle, war, famine, death, it'll grow exponentially more extreme, who will prevail? Monsters? Humans? Or an odd one that wishes for freedom?
