Description
In Calaria, a world where magic dictates one's destiny rather than birthright, Riley stands out as an anomaly. Pieced together from three separate souls, her very existence challenges the norms of a society where magical ability can elevate a commoner to greatness and condemn a noble to obscurity.
Thrown into this realm of endless possibilities, Riley's initial desire to flee transforms as fate draws her into an unexpected alliance. Her journey spans from the prestigious corridors of Valenheim Academy, through the perilous wilds teeming with unseen dangers, and back to the bustling streets of the capital where her adventure began.
It's here, amidst the political intrigue and shadowy corners of the city, that a series of sinister murders hint at a deeper, looming crisis that threatens to upend the societal order.
In Calaria, power isn’t handed to you—it’s something you seize. Suddenly, Riley finds herself at the center of a storm that could reshape the future of the entire kingdom. Standing strong with her allies, she must navigate a path fraught with betrayal and hidden agendas.
As the pieces of an ancient puzzle begin to align, a question looms, can she uncover the truth behind the murders and prevent the kingdom from descending into chaos? Her survival and the fate of Calaria hinge on her next move.
Time is of the essence, and the path Riley chooses will either lead to salvation or catastrophe for herself and the world she's come to know...

- FudgeRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5It's not for me, but objectively pretty dang good. should please many other folks.
Writing is solid, characters done well, set-up is pretty unique.
Some minor errors that I, being a lazy bumpkin, did not point out.. but so few and far between as to be inconsequential.
Keep up the good work, author! - Loki's ChildRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Like the title says just Give it a Try. Main character is pretty interesting, and while they are getting stronger it is at a good pace. Your real state of mind having a effect on your status is something you don't see all that much in these types of stories. This is just filler to make the 50 words in the end just follow the tile of the review Give it a Try. Book 1 is now complete.
- All in VaneRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0This is a weird story to rate, because while grammar, spelling and characters are great and the worldbuilding is innovative if a little unrealistic in places and the plot is nice if a little slow, it still feels like there is something missing.
It might help if the characters had a long term personal goal or there was some overarching plot to give the reader some idea of where the story is going. While I don’t mind the slice of life approach, at the moment it is a little too meandering for my tastes, while still keeping to a high overall standard.
A word of warning for the Litrpg fans. Those elements are very few and far between. There are only a handful of skills and no stats or status screen. There are tiers (instead of levels) but if high levels make your heart sore, you should look elsewhere.
There is also one weird thing. (Spoiler!)
spoiler: The description says the main character is made of three souls, but it is really only two, with a little sprinkling of chaos creature powers on top. I have read most of the early chapters wondering which character is going to get killed to become the third… It was kinda fun and made it more intriguing to read, but it’s still a weird disconnect between story and synopsis. - Ava of flowersRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0There aren't really any twists here that are going to take you by surprise. You always know who their enemies are, or at least -where- they are. This is not a book to read if you want suspense.
It -is- a book to read if you want a story about a young man and a bunny making their way in the world and slowly growing in knowledge and power. It's cute, and solid, and won't let you down <3 - DittersRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0The LitRPG stuff seems like it's just been pointlessly tacked on but the story is solid. The story would have been better without trying to be LitRPG because the MC doesn't use her abilities at all. For example, she gets stuck in a cage at the start and doesn't just pop the cage into the inventory that she read about while being stuck in the cage. That's fine as a one off, but it is chapter 40 and she has used 1 skill kind of usefully one time. It was a level 0 skill and through the powers of handwavium, she one-shot a monster and created a feedback loop that took out her archnemesis. Fine if it was a fantasy story, kind of shit in a LitRPG for level 0 skills. Honestly, the few times the LitRPG elements show up they bump into an otherwise decent story and just add frustration to the read.
