Nin had the misfortune of being born into the poor colony of Rising Sun. As one of the colony’s overworked foragers, she is forced to spend each day searching for enough food to keep the colony from starving.

When she learns about a lost paradise that was once the colony’s home, and why it was abandoned long ago, she questions why no one is attempting to locate and reoccupy it.

Young and idealistic, she rebels against a ruling class that is deceiving the colony members, and after confronting a powerful member of the leadership, she is presented with a challenge. A secret expedition, which if successful, would dramatically improve the fortunes of her home colony. However, everyone who has ever attempted this challenge has disappeared without a trace.Can one young adventurer succeed where all others have failed?
