Very good read, and for those who came here wanting to read a dragon centric book, don’t let the first chapter put you off, as it sets the stage for what’s to come. The humour is great, and the story can be deep. 10/10 worth a read - BudgiePRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5I enjoyed the start of this story (act 1), great set up, but feel like it grows weak once the characters 'answer the call to adventure' and the second act beings.
I understand this story is part of a trilogy, but standing alone, our two protagonists don't really get any real opposition to oppose them, such conflict shows us who they really are, and it comes too late in the story in my opinion.
Lastly, I feel like the protagonists becoming friends could have been delayed longer, that initial tension could have been stretched a lot longer.
