Savior of the Dark Goddess

A man at a dark point in life, riddled with debt and struck with many unfortunate events; the latest one being him losing the companion he had from his early childhood, his housecat Fluffy. That fateful day he finds a girl with a mysterious aura covered in scars who begs him to save her. Even under the church's maniacal rule and gods' watchful eyes, he decided to save the being that can bring the world into ruin.
