Description
A modern man finds himself reincarnated in the body of a young slave with no skills and quickly fading memories. Follow his journey to find normalcy while living in a savage world, filled with myth and legends, monsters and Demons. In a land where the strong rule, the weak serve, and bloodshed is a way of life, peace is a luxury few can afford.
Author's note:Expect a chapter everytues/thurs/sun, unless I start writing faster. The story is eastern themed, but not Xianxia, no chasing immortality, MC is not OP. Less action, more character and world driven is my aim. Mature language and themes, but no raunchy sex. It's my first story, constructive criticism would be appreciated.

- midnight101Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0I normally dislike wux and xia genres but this story does it right. The main characters isn't OP but isn't weak either. All the characters are well developed and fit nicely in this story. I also dislike harems tremendously but the way it unfolds fit this story/universe well. Grammar is great and the story is very unique. It is hard to find a fault in this fiction. Keep up the great work author!
- Gallas500Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0Where to start hahahah
I dont think there is a character that i hated and loved more than Rain in all my years reading novels... And that is saying something hahah
If you are looking for a history about a loveble bastard with a xiaxia trope this is the one! But be ready for a ton of ansty and tortured characters hahah - LasiefoRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0like i sayed this is the best story i have read in months

the best story royalroadl has ever had - exileRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This story is really awesome. To top it off the author has steady releases and great chapter lengths to keep the interest. The quality of the writing is great and the story is immersive.
The characters are well written which makes you invested in them. The story is wonderful. You see all aspects of the story, during troubled times, peaceful times, training, insane ideas, sad and happy times all over.
Great story, great releases. Get into it! - J. C. O'ConnorRoyal Road★★ 2.0Amended 3 star review - I've dropped it altogether. When you can read 8 chapters between MC POVs it's just chaff. It hasn't gotten any better, in fact, it's worse. This is what happens when an author doesn't plan even a little.
I really enjoyed the start of this story where Rain was the centre of it all and most of the story was from his POV. Unfortunately by chapter 600 or so there have been possibly 100+ different POVs and it just gets worse as the story goes. I personally dislike multi-POV and when it gets to this stage I find myself just skipping through them - I just don't care I only want the central characters and their story. There are chapter upon chapter where Rain spends most of it agonising about something or other. A bit of internal dialogue is OK but he is just pitiful and that's not taking into account the whole Baledagh issue. I gave up reading due to the Baledagh character and then had to go back to see if it was finally resolved - which it was but not well and then Rain is damaged again and this storyline is just dragging on and on. I'll probably continue reading but it is very frustrating. - Ontological WeevilRoyal Road★★ 2.0Edit:
Hi, hello, it's me, me from the year 2021.
Savage Divinity's pacing is atrocious and felt like I was being milked for every chapter. It starts off strong, and continues to be pretty swell, but as the story goes on and on—it's a bloated mess, and I quit reading somewhere in the 300-400 chapter range.Yeah, it's entertaining, and it's free, but there's plenty of other stories that you can read which are a fraction of this story's size.

This is a harem, fantasy, xuxia web novel that seems to lead somewhere but has long periods of no progression in plot. I cannot recommend this story in good faith.
Okay so, putting a modern man in a fantasy world story. common nowadays, but it generally doesn't change anything in the story. The first 180ish chapters it was a gimmick, besides references, jokes, and maturity, the main character didn't really use his knowledge of Earth. It was incredibly disappointing. No one that graduated from high school and college could possibly have nothing not to contribute (ew double negative). Of course, the author mends this issue later on.
The action is sometimes fun in a power fantasy way. Getting to see the powerful protagonists whip butt and eat meat buns, exciting isn't it, children? The characters have too much plot armor, mainly because the author (stated it himself) loves his characters too much to do anything nasty to them. This is a major ongoing issue.
There's a harem 80085
Each character is unique, one of the best selling points of the story.
The plot and plot are unoriginal and cliche. (Plot and story are two different things). It's predictable, but it's entertaining.
The world building is original.
The writing itself is good. Few to no typos, plenty of POV which adds to character depth and makes the story more dramatic.
The main antagonist which opposes the Empire is wholly evil, the defiled. There are no shades of grey. Other (most other) villains in the story als - GapaotRoyal Road★★ 1.5I'll be honest and short. MC reincarnated into another world is a solid start. Eastern style story, with Chi, martial arts and half-beasts is a nice change. But I've read 40 chapters and my biggest gripe is that MC is a wet blanket. Author tries to show him as humble but strong, and he does have a few feats under his belt after those chapters, but his beliefs are not acted upon. He lets himself being pushed by children, his foster family, his teachers, everyone. He's not challenging them or questioning their happy-kill mentality, despite being convicted it's wrong. MC just... trains and keeps being poite. He doesn't make decisions, they are made upon him. Maybe it gets better, but I can't keep reading more than those 40 chapters in hope that somewhere deeper he does change. So, heed my warning those who look for less-than-stellar review in sea of praise - if you don't like MC after first 5-10 chapters, drop this story.
- BilboBRoyal Road★ 1.0Are you into furries, chapters on end of repeteaded altercations and actions, feeling like you've read the same scene over a thousand times? Then you're in for a treat.
Even though it appeared to be a breath of freash air to the genre of cultivation, the story has so many flaws that it is almost impossible to enjoy. The most severe of all being the awful attempts of character development, that leads to hundreads of chapters of the same exact actions occuring over and over again.
Which the most common is the mc petting and talking about his pets or "fluffs", at some point into the story you'll find yourself skipping paragraphs because you can't take the poor and slow development anymore.
Overall the author had a fantastic idea, but his execution was far too lacking. Don't waste your time.
Also to the author: stop being a furry, you're weird a f. - ScreamingtoasterRoyal Road★ 1.0Starts off pretty good! A lot of interesting world building and characters. After a certain point it just stagnates and drags on though. Once they start poking around the west it just becomes a chore to read. Like an hour long meeting at work that could of been emailed in two sentences. So much fluff that contributes nothing. Entire chapters of one single individual doing one single thing. Lots of other long stories on royalroad manage to avoid this but this story just gets unbearably fluff filled.
- CiainaRoyal Road★ 0.5Not much to say.
Great worldbuilding, characters and pace.
Then it becomes a painful slog with the main character having one existential crisis after another.
The same routine is repeated again and again and again. It's BORING AND PRETENTIOUS.
Used to have it in my favourites. Then started skipping chapters realising I missed nothing.
Then after the same song and dance for the tenth time "this sovereign" got fed up.
Do not waste your time.
