[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]

|Vampires. Cursed existences that feed on the life force of the living by draining their blood. Deceptively powerful and able to use incredible magic, the only chance humanity has against them is the runic language gifted to them by Solaris, God of Light. While not all powerful, they have given humanity the power to fight back, leading to the current stalemate.

Brandon suffered a tragic fate while walking through the woods. Offered a choice by Solaris, what will his life entail?

Author's note: This will be my main focus during November, but I almost guarantee that it won't be finished by the time the challenge ends. I'll probably lower releases to biweekly or monthly after that depending on my schedule. There are no plans for a harem, or even a romantic interest. If you decide to join me for the ride, I welcome criticism and try and reply to comments so let me know what you think!

I personally love stories with twists in them because it keeps the story interesting and fresh and a few have happened already, which really kept me reading and wanting more. the MC is a half vampire which is cool. i love the attention to detail of the training the mc goes through. the biggest problem so far is it's a lack of world building. the author leaves what i feel is to much for the fast to imagine. like the complete lack of descriptions of what the towns, churches, or people look like.

While it's only at the first chapter, it holds great potential, and has an intriguing element to it's story telling which is compelling for a first chapter, and the mystery of what could be is enough to bring you back for more. I look forward to what it will become.

Okay so love the premise. The characters are solid but one major complaint. A LOT of information is repeated. Nothing reaches the point of needless exposition, in fact it always feels natural to the story. But I'm not going to lie, there are entire portions of a few chapters skipped because I'm reading events for the fourth time. Love the story though and can't wait to see how it progresses!
