- luda305Royal Road★★★★ 3.5It's an interesting idea. The worldbuilding is very solid, as is the grammar, and the writing style is great.
I guess what really hangs me up is the plot. Like every chapter (or every other chapter), there's a brand new setting and mystery and our protagonists have to get through and survive it. But like, how did we get from A to B to C to D etc.? Well, yes, we have some explanation in-story. But the actual progress is ridiculously fast. Like, imagine if you were in NYC and wanted to visit the Statute of Liberty, the Empire State Building, the Wall Street Bull, and MoMa, and instead of taking a taxi or subway, you could just teleport. Yes, theoretically you could do all of them back to back to back in one day, but you're going to get overloaded and burned out. And because of that, I can't really say that there's an overarching plot. Yes, there's a theme of Sophia rediscovering her lost memories, but that's just a theme, not a plot itself. It really needs to slow down and stretch it out. Like what about the poor camel they just left behind several chapters ago??? (This is illustrative of what plot threads that exist often getting dropped if not quickly resolved).
