I am not really sure what I expected, but this story of the universe's toughest waitress wasn't it. I loved it, and especially the variety of xenos that appeared. Excellent world and setting building with intriguing characters; it has it all. I think that this is a great piece of work..

No issues with grammar that I noticed.
The world building was detailed and well done.
The characters were great. I loved the interactions and dialog.
The MC waitress pulling off a Cast Away worthy survival was very entertaining. Madeline is awesome. I love her internal dialog, her choices and her never stop attitude.
    Very cute story.

This is a fairly decent short HFY story, if one likes that sort of thing (I don't, but I was bored and finished it anyway).
It needs an HFY tag.  It's not bad, as such.
The editing is ok; some inconsistent pronouns really were the most visible issues.
And it has possibly the worst blurb/synopsis/summary on this site. It gives away entirely too much of the plot, kills any interest in reading the story, and just goes on and on. IMHO a better synopsis would be far shorter and merely hint at the specific story to intrigue the prospective reader.
