Author´s Note:I've been a fan of the RWBY series for a long time now, and saw on how it changed thoughout the years. This story is just my little take of how I wanted things to turn out. This is more or less fanfiction, so bear with me.
Also I do not own any of the characters or artwork. All respective artwork I use belong to their owners. A lot of the characters, Lore, History, Locations, and Magic System will also be different from the original RWBY series.
The world of Remnant is not as it used to be, The great Empire of Vale had fallen into such a weakened state due to internal conflict. The three great neighboring kingdoms: Mystral, Atlas, and Mantle, saw the weakness behind the Empire's walls, and disaster soon fell. War broke, with the three great kingdoms forming an alliance to defeat the Empire of Vale.
After the great war, the world was in ruin. Mysterious creatures known as the Grimm started to emerge, the once bountiful magic the world once had was now gone, and even the moon was shattered by some mystic force.
Generations after, Civilization had started to rebuild itself in the East, with the three great kingdoms as its foundation. But the lands to the West have become infested with Grimm, and no normal human would dare travel to those lands.
Civilization soon felt threat near the borders, new religions soon came about, new fighting styles, new power sources known as Dust became more prevalent, as well as the manifestation of Aura and Semblances. This was also the time in where mutations would occur in children from being exposed to the Grimm, and these children were called the Faun.
A promising huntress, the young Ruby Rose, after the death of her mother and graduating the Signal Combat School, she now heads off to Beacon Academy to become an official huntress and to explore the lands to the west.
Jaune Arc, a swordsman with a legacy to to uphold, enters Beacon Academy in order to gain power and reclaim the lands he lost to the creatures of Grimm long ago.
Their skills, as well as their friend's will be tested, as they will soon discover the secrets of the old world we now know as Remnant.

- Domi SottoRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0I am not familiar with RWBY, but it is clear from the text that it is a monster fighting universe, and I have a soft spot for the folks that love the source material enough to write fanfictions.
There are interesting parallels to the fairy tales - the MC fights werewolves in the first chapter while wearing a red riding hood.
In terms of writing, there are a couple of technicalities to watch out for - you shift between present tense and past tense very often; and you use filter adverbs that can be eliminated for clarity (only, really, very).
I did not understand what ammunition the character needs for scythe - it might be better to explain this lore bit.
It is up to you how deep of an impact you are looking for in your writing. At the moment, you skim through the moment that can be focal, like, for example when you tell me that she quickly disposed of the total of fifteen werewolves.
The games or anime often give you that impression of awesomeness of the protagonist by giving you a flashy move that lays waste - and it is hard to capture it in writing vs visual, but I think it would be good if you tried that, instead of just tallying it up.
The ending of the first chapter comes to a good hook, the meeting of the MC and the sensei of sorts, who tells her that she'd passed a test. To fortify your hook, if desired, you can make the fight more suspenseful, less abbreviated, giving the feel of actual struggle.
