- callmesteveRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I found this quite a good story. It has clear lit-RPG and cultivation notes, but it blends them together quite well by giving him a cultivation system and providing everyone a unique power with these runes rather than a generic qi.
I also like the characterization. Even the system is aware and a plot point rather than just a feature of the story or some cheat skill that appeared out of nowhere. Also, the character is currently getting a chance to revisit his past life and see if he can tie up some loose ends, which is something I've not actually seen before. - FeniksRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0As I'm writing this the current reviews on this novel are somewhat unfair as they are only up to chapter 2. I dislike leaving public reviews but the story deserves better.
I didn't know how I felt at first but after reading up to this current chapter I gotta say I like it. I'm not big on cultivation novels but the way things are explained actually make sense and I don't have to perform mental gymnastics to understand things.
The main complaint I imagine new readers having is MC's OPness yeah it's seems kinda overwhelming or to much at first but considereding what I think the author is going for I don't think it's bad if anything I enjoy how the Mc actually amits how some things were given to him on a golden platter. - To note for new readers MC's OPness is overwhelming in the first few chapters since our scope as readers is very small his OPness but is later balanced out a bit by other characters.
I could go on more but I won't! Just try it! This story isn't the best thing ever written but I'm really enjoying it and looking forward to new chapters! Good job! - InslayerRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5Imma go for an advanced review to help a little. A note of warning, however, this is still early into the story and I believe we still have much to see from the coming chapters.
Style 2.5/5: First chapter starts with what seems to be the main character recounting his life's story, breaking the fourth wall a few times and changing PoV in the middle of the chapter. Yeah, I won't argue, that was a bad start, but it's a fairly simple thing to fix with a bit of effort, so I'm open to editing this review once all the mistakes have been cleared out.
Story 3.5/5: so far it's not something unique, nor amazing. The benefits he receives are not unique to him, though it could be argued that they seem to be extremely rare judging by everyone's expressions. And even though it's not the best way to build up a strong lead in my opinion, it's not wrong either and I don't want to bash the author for going his way about writing his story.
Grammar 4/5: a few mistakes here and there but nothing too extreme. Obviously the first chapter being the worst of the worst had some extra stuff in it (of the negative nature), but it's not too bad.
Character 3.5/5: I saw two dimensional characters, and though the author has tried to explain the reason behind their behaviour, I think they need more time if they want to be seen as actual characters.
As for the main character, I think he's in a good spot for now. I mostly want to see his character development and how he goes on about this new world. The author time-skipped through the beginning of the main character's arrival in the world, which in my humble opinion can be a very interesting part of one such story, if done right.
Overall 3.5/5: it's not a bad story and it has potential. It's about average in quality and I've seen worse stories make it into trending. I believe this is worth giving a try; the story is new and has a lot of room for improvement. - ThunderThiefCatRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5I don't really know where to start.
In the beginning the novel is very well done, fleshed out and interesting characters and a seemingly solid world building.
But then something happens. At some point author introduces multiple class mates, beginnings of interesting dynamics but never follows up. Time skips become common and a lot of handwaving starts to happen. But then there is a really good part about an old antagonist growing in character.
The system gains sentience, replacing a much more interesting and nuanced companion.
The novel basicly flip-flops around between top of the line scenes and setups only to crash because the pay of is weak or nonexistent.
A professional editor could turn this cracked gem into world class jewelery. Also Grammar and some words are simply wrong (feet don't have souls, they have soles
