- s0nicr08Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0The MC, your classic outcast looking for acceptance. The story is all about dungeons, and cool magic. And let me tell you, this story is something else! It breaks the mold and takes you to an amazing world full of danger and mysteries to solve. Yeah, some of the character interactions at the start might feel a bit forced, but don't worry, they get better as you go along.
This book has so much potential, but there's one thing that bugs me a little: the MC keeps doubting himself. It's okay for now, but if it keeps happening throughout the entire series it might get old. Still, the characters are super likable, and the grammar is on point.
If you're into epic dungeon adventures, loot hunting, and parties with damage dealers, healers, and tanks, then this book is totally your jam. It's got interesting skills and everything! So go ahead and dive in. You won't regret it! - Box10101Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0Need a reason to read?
The book has (in my opinion) great pacing and great characters.
It's unique to me sence I haven't read any with similar story and all.
Have to appease the word limit gods or goddess and type fifty words. Run through great story and pacing along with characters that fit and make sense so far in the story. - Centurion000Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0Greatly enjoying the speed of updates and nary a spelling error in Sight! The world is fun and the system novel, I’m greatly looking forward to where this story is headed. They want HOW MANY WORDS in these reviews!?! No wonder they’re so infrequent! I’ve written shorter essays in college! ;)
- Dennis WestRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I love the stories on royal road but lets face most of the stories here are written by passionate armatures but not this story this story has professional quality yet he posts at a very high rate I love it and would recommend this story to get new people into litrpg stories
- Grond21Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0Highly recommend this story. It is deeply engaging and very well written, as is the author's pattern. I could tell from the first few chapters that I would like it, and I was not disappointed. Creating interesting characters with deep personalities, thorough worldbuilding, and a well paced plot is HARD. But by golly he pulls it off!
- Meboy1000Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0Much like Mark of the Fool, this also has excellent writing and characters, little to no grammatical errors, excellent flow, I look forward to where this will go in the future. Maybe when Mark of the Fool is done then the uploads here will be just as consistent. I can't wait to see what happens next
- Merrick GreenRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I’m a big fan of Clarke’s other works (Particularly Mark of the Fool) and have been really enjoying this fast paced and fun story through most of book 1. Looking forward to seeing where it leads. MC has believable mentality and good progression, the world is interesting and the writing develops the world with good pacing.
- TuftearsRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Up to chapter 33 and I'm finding it enjoyable-- while the story of a young man without power in a world of the talented may seem familiar, it's a novel world with a unique magic system, and when our Hiram does eventually find his own abilities, they aren't obviously overpowered compared to the rest of the world. Looking forward to seeing how the mysteries of this world develop!
- malexRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This is a beautifully written anime. The arc of the story from the humble coming of age and sacrifice beginning to the demi-god anime MC levels of power has a rational and satisfying progression. The stakes reach up to the unimaginable heights, but do not feel made up just to keep the tension going and there's none of the bs character nerfing that shows up so often in weaker stories. The characters grow, change, and become loved as the story unfolds. The prose is top-notch. This authors are real writers and the text looks like it went through edits. I can't overstate the importance of that :). I have to confess that the extensive punch by punch fights are not my cup of tea, but that was an easy enough sour pill to swallow and gave the story a swashbuckling anime feel, so the authors get a pass even if that detracted a few people from enjoying what is a beautiful journey of a band of heroes. Read and enjoy. I did for sure. It's a more mature story written for wider audience than the very young adult Mark if the Fool by one of the authors, which made it all the more enjoyable. Five stars out of five! I'm hoping for and am looking forward to more collaboration between the authors.
- BardilacRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0The story is not only well written, the pacing is nice a steady too. The lore building is done bit by bit, and well integrated into the story. Its not Hard GameLit, but a good take on the genre. Grammar is clear and precise, characters are varied, though more depth will hopefully take place as the story progresses.
