Description

(Villain Deku; My Hero Academia Fanfic)

Think to yourself, just this one little question-"What if the Sludge Villain never got away?"

(When a bottle doesn't drop to the floor, a world is changed forevermore)

Izuku Midoriya was an ordinary kid in an extraordinary world; one of heroes, quirks, and promises of glory to all that dared to reach out for it. If you had a good quirk, that is. And destiny had that all wrapped up in a nice little package for him until something shifted.

It was a minor cog that deviated in the clockwork of destiny, nothing significant in the scheme of things. But, as it turned out, even the most minor of cogs could cause a glitch in the machine. A fracture in fate. And what do you get with fractured fate? Why, who knows? The road he would walk upon in the future, whether it be one of thorns or sunshine, would be decided by him and him alone.

"Life is composed of decisions and perspective. The scenario is irrelevant; one can dance in the rain or cry in it. Thus, the person we are and can become is a product of it as well. That is the very essence of life."

Would he be a savior? A villain?Or something else entirely? That is the true question.

Let me start by saying— I may be a bit biased here. I love villainous MCs, I'm a sucker for them, especially if they're well done. And boy oh boy, this one is well. freaking. done. That out of the way, let's break this story down, shall we?
    Style:
Mostly through the eyes of the main character. Through the eyes of a broken, depressed, borderline psychopath main character. That means, gritty, dark, and raw. Easily 5 stars.  Definitely not for everyone though, be aware. Killing is done, although not casually, without remorse, with delight even.
    Grammar:
Easy 5, again. Not to say there aren't any mistakes at all, but their number is so low it can be rounded down to zero.
    Story:
I had to give it 4.5 stars instead of 5, partly because it's a fan fiction and thus leans on an already stabilished story, and partly because giving a full 5 stars across the board felt a bit weird. Somehow. Anyway, without giving out too many spoilers, this story is a complete 180 from the original MHA. It is everything MHA isn't, but what it could've been. If you've watched it, you will either love this story or hate it. Please don't read it if you dislike the darker aspects of MHA, because those are considered light moments by this story's standards. You don't have to have watched MHA to read this tho, but you might find all the names a bit confusing and the character descriptions lacking, in that case.
    Character:
What to say... it is most likely where this story shines the brightest. Or the darkest, depending on how you look at it. The side-characters are very inreteresting, but I can't really give the author too much credit for them other than their very life-like depiction, since they're yoinked from MHA. Deku (the MC), though... his characterisation, his growth, his twisted, broken mind... it is freaking incredible to read. I feel like a sadistic bastard now. Aaanyway, Deku is an ever changing piece of art, a dark and twisted one. He's the glue that holds this story together, despite he hi

I get that some of the ff for bnha are a bit.. strange and obviously most of them are just pure stupidity.., but I absolutely want to say that when I ended up finding this, it surprised me. It wasn't some weird and poorly written fanfiction that 11yr olds would read. This is well thought out and I absolutely enjoy every single part of it.. I love how it ultimately shows how the main character feels and exactly what he's thinking. The way the characters are portrayed is just- great!! I try to keep up with this anytime I can because I can't get enough of it and the fact that the timelines are somewhat related to the actual plot?? THAT'S AMAZING. It's not like a newly written plot?? but it is at the same time?? It's pretty fun to read, if you’ve seen the anime then you know who these peeps are and it’s not confusing because they don’t just add a new character every single chapter. The author is so sweet and kind and they must be so motivated to post everyday. I absolutely support them with all my heart. Please give this a read, it's perfectly written and it's enjoyable.

The my hero academia fan fiction scene is utter trash if its not poorly written, a weird ship/porn or some gender bender nonsense its just a self insert power fantasy there are very few fanfics that are good this one is not great but its still pretty good if you like my hero academia i would say give this a try you may like it.

Reading this fic, the quality of it just astounded me in the first chapters. But after getting this far? I feel burnt out. I want to keep reading but I just don't feel invested in the slightest. Deku hasn't even accomplished anything in this new persona of his. He is simply too underpowered compared to his allies and overpowered compared to his opponents in a way that just doesn't drive much engagement. I'm sorry, but that's my opinion

    Style:
The style is good, it gives sufficient description be it in the background, dialogue, actions.
    Grammar:
The grammar is quite good, but there are still some typos here and there.
    Story:
The story flows fairly well, not too fast nor too slow. Every arc is connected with each other and written quite well. Unfortunately it is mainly about his drama caused by his "unstable mind" which in the end causing many ridiclious situations to happen time and time again and surviving all of them by sheer plot which actually easily avoidable.
    Character Score:
The character are actually decent, but unfortunately some characters are butchered for the sake of the story, especially Deku. Deku was shown in the beginning as someone who's willing to give his all for his revenge even becoming a villain, however a dozen chapters later, he is clearly merely a tenagee who has "lost it" and a failure of a villain. Wanting to kill Bakugo so much previously, only to waste the oppurtunity to finish it all out of "convenience" to further the drama.
    Overall:
Actually above average, if you can put up with the drama, and all of that avoidable predicaments caused by MC's unstable, indecisive, broken mind. But if you really want a real villain story this is not for you.
