—Prophecy of the Blind Sage,Excerpt VII, The Grey Book

A pleasant and comfortable life, peace, good-hearted people, and a loving job are things that Rudolph didn't get.

Feel pity for him? I hope not. Because he gets something much better.

What did he get?

Umm, he nearly got drowned upon getting teleported to another world.

The twenty-two-year-old software engineer had enough with his life when a mysterious encounter resulted in him teleporting into a world far away. A world under the influence of soul archives, also known as the system to the mundane.

His whole life is changed when he is introduced to a world of unlimited possibilities.

He gets to explore the whole world and meet new races and befriend people

Eat food he had only dreamt of

Get a system with class, levels, professions, bloodlines, and whatnot.

Fight and kill the monsters, he had only dreamt of.

Not enough stakes?

How about all of the above while fighting and interacting with gods, evil cults, monstrous beasts, and dragons?

The prophecy about the birth of an evil being?

And a considerable chance of losing sanity due to his newfound powers?

Sounds plausibly dangerous. No?

So it's my first time reading here on royal roads and I come across this novel. Brilliant! Thought there are some kinks with the grammar but nothing too glaring, it's easily readable. The MC had me hooked from the start and I am curious where this will lead to.
A lot of potential and I would be looking forward to what the author has in store for us.

So the system is just well thought out. The way the author has divided the system into subcategories makes it a lot simpler to navigate through. The use of soul stability as a cap to moderate the speed of MC's progression is well thought out. I don't see any issues with the writing either, it's easily understood. I hope the author doesn't quit mid-way. This story if kept on track can easily reach the top of this site.

The first chapter has a nice promise baked into it, promising a tale that will concluded with a whole lot of regret and may set up a second story following a tale or redemption. The 2nd chapter is oppressive in its themes, maybe striking the hard luck narrative a little too hard, but that's always going to be a difficult thing to balance. How much information is too much? How often do we need to reiterate the same theme? At what point does it build the character vs becomes repetitive. As some one who does a massive amount of world building myself, sometimes the best question is: Have I already said something similar? Does it add new information? Does this need to be said all at once or can I pace it out?
The rapid drop of character background information gives us a clear idea of who this guy was in our world.
There were several grammatic errors, but nothing all that jarring, just made me do a double take, and easy words to miss even with spell check on. Heaven knows I do this tons myself. I'd recommend using a text-to-speech narration tool to help pick out those tricky words and double check the spelling/definition - since spell check won't pick properly spelled words that have a slightly different meaning.
The RPG abilities are well though out and feels like it follows the theme of the character and supports the promise from the first chapter.

Right now, I feel like the first chapter is a decent start, though it could use quite a bit more polishing. I feel like we've gotten a bit of a glimpse of Rudolph's character, but he seems a bit inconsistent whether he is genre-savvy or not. And the dialogue is a bit awkward in places. That's probably what needs the most work in the novel. Still, the first chapter has me interested in reading the next chapter, which will probably make or break the story.
The initial setting is established very well, but not so much as time goes on.
