Book 4 so far has solidified this as a series I’m going to read for as long as chapters keep coming. The series was good before, but it keeps getting better. There’s been so many badass sequences and events, the type which played a huge role in getting me into LitRPG in the first place.
If you’re a fan of OP MC’s (and you’re on royalroad so be honest with yourself, you probably are) you need to give this series a go.

Sometimes I wonder what the average RR reader is reading. Here I come across a fantastic story involving original elements, written in very decent grammar, and the work isn't getting a quarter-million views even after 5 months of publication? A travesty.
I totally understand why the author is stubbing this work for Amazon/KU. They deserve the royalties for this excellent story. I'll be picking up my copy off Amazon next month. Cheers!

I'm addicted to this story, I just got here because I devoured the 4 books already on KU
Joey is an amazing MC and the power progression is really good, the MC is kinda OP but not overly and the world building is also great
I'm also loving the reference to the characters from Apocalypse Comedy

The shade magic as a whole is definetly very cool, the description mentioned necromancy which had me worrying it was going to be the (in my opinion) overdone trope of armies of skeletal monsters fighting for the mc, that was not the case.
Dragons are super cool, I am an avid member of the tail cult so dragon tails are even cooler. I also love non-human main characters and while the mc is currently human it does seem like thats very possible to change in the possibly near future.
I do believe that maybe the author could've done some sort of prolouge introducing me to Joey before the changes of his dragon spirit animal and rogueness took effect. Maybe make him seem a lot more cautious before the changes of the system in order to show me that he has actually changed as the only things I know of his past are only briefly mentioned. He also mentioned how seemingly the system took only outcasts which is obviously not entirely true considering the previously rich business man turned common innkeeper that attempted to poison him most likely wasn't an outcast.
Overall, definetly a great read, the system is unique, I personally have not seen shade dragon magic nor rogue clones so I feel that the magic is quite unique as well. Go read it!!! -w-

OK I got most of the acronyms let's top it off with litRPG to bookend and move onto the story.
While it is another chasing bigger numbers story, the world in this story seems bigger, the world seems cinematic for want of a better description.
It's got all the staples; safe areas, achievements, titles, skills etc.
But, and hold my tenuous metaphorical hat here, the peoples be they various shapes living in the system have aspirations, regrets and sexual needs.
It adds extra flair as the monsters taunt and despair let alone other thinking beings.
So hopefully I have given you reason to read without giving any storyline information up.
Be amazed at the environments braved, grin at the fast paced battles as magic flashes and blood splashes, slap your forehead as the OPMC misses obvious information.
    It's great fun

The system used here, from what I've seen so far, is quite simplified compared to others of the same level. This, combined with the main character being a Shade Rogue with a dragon as their spirit animal means there's fun potential for evolution in the future.
Sadly,  however,  the author needs to work more on their fundamentals. Not only do they split some of the earlier chapters in two for some reason, but each chapter is quite short. Descriptions are short and light, eith emotional states being told instead if shown. Each chapter could easily be two to three times as long while covering the same content, and the story would not feel slow at all.
The world seems interesting, as does the system, but the story needs a much stronger foundation than what it currently has to truly be great.
