Yes, I did figure out what it's a fanfic of (or at least a character with a googleable name appeared). It's Highschool of the Dead.
Yes, the horrid paragraph-spacing and length from the synopsis remains in the chapters. EDIT: Appears that the synopsis paragraph spacing was fixed - no longer an empty paragraph between each line. Stands to reason author improved this issue in the chapters too, but I won't verify, and will leave informing ppl as an exercise to whomever reads chapters after jan 4th. But seems reasonable many of the issues might have been fixed? Worth bumping up my score half a star at least.
No, the above does not include how the synopsis accidentally breaks into paragraphs mid-sentence. Skimmed mostly, so might have missed such things (particularly in the Status portions), but also didn't see any.
Yes, it did get better after a couple chapters (at least the spacing).
No, that did not persist either, and it returned again in last chapter I opened (and no, don't know if it changes again later).
Yes, the grammar continues being similarly poor as synopsis. I have no clue what "recife" means (from context it might be receive?). And there were indeed things like mixing up gendered pronouns (a female character was referred to as "he" suddenly), although they seemed to be one-off errors and not a constant.
