A battle between gods, hundreds of years in the past, leaves the land of Kalthima scarred and in a state of perpetual conflict. A slain god’s energy is dispersed and scattered, inadvertently absorbed by buried crystals all across the continent. A prized resource, fought over and won.

Wix wants nothing more than to escape east, away from the warfront, to a place where he can be his own man. But he has another destiny.
