Azken Rafson is the second son of a prominent miner in the dwarf city of Haldmar who, unlike his older brother, has no plans to follow in his father's footsteps and join the family business. He instead plans to join the Scribe academy, a citadel of learning and education within the capital city of Marazek, in order to become a runescribe.

The chapters could be longer but the content is pretty good by my standards. I would like to recommend this story and probably will once it gets more chapters. A lot of fantasy stories suffer from being to fast or slow so I do hope that the pacing of this story stays solid and allows for the readers to feel real growth from the characters.
- FogtsarRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0If you are looking for a dwarf based fantasy this book is for you. It's got beards, hammers and even runes. The story is just starting out but so far it seems like the type of thing that I'll be waiting for every update. It has solid characterization and a fluid story but it hasn't had a chance yet to show how unique it can be. I am looking forward to seeing how far it can go. Azken is a great MC who seems to be very interesting and the world building with just the prologue is very solid.
