Description
Dungeons are probably amongst the strangest creatures in the world, creating vast labyrinths and wonders to explore. This is the story of one such dungeon as he makes his first shaky steps into the world, and all of the horror and majesty he will bring into the world.
(This is my first fiction and I would appreciate any constructive criticism)
Note: Litrpg elements start around chapter nine, and the story is a little slow at first. (copyright 2021)

- CrowKrowQrowRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Without Spoilers:
Really liked the story. It has a good an interesting progression as the MC grows from a tiny ball of mana underground into a proper dungeon, and it pictures well the slow growth of a newborn Dungeon without a Self-Insert or System to guide it into a set path. I enjoyed reading the slow growth and building of the Dungeon as an ecossystem and can't wait to see where it goes.
Some spoilers: A few chapters in there is a whiplashed with the sudden appearance of an overpowered lizzard that serves as guide/plot-armor to the MC to speed along its growth (and I was enjoying the slow growth), but their dynamic proved to be a fun read and said lizzard is not overbearing, leaving the Dungeon mostly to its own devices/discoveries, so it while a sudden change it does grow into a good one.
I didn't really enjoy what little was shown of the Tier system, much less the human/sentient society it seems to have grown around it, as I prefer a more natural growth and a lesser disparity between ranks than it was shown, but it is a minor detail and haven't been properly explained so maybe it will grow on me.
There are some grammar errors and some jumps in narrative that left me a bit lost, but nothing overbearing and you can get over any such loss during the course of the story. - ShinenerRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This is an another dungeon story. But the thing is it's not an story of human in the dungeon core or an story of OVERLY NUMEROUS BLUE SCREENS OF THE

The storyline is solid. World creation is still in its infant stages and the character development is BETTER THAN T̷͓̞̘̒̇̓w͚̲̝̱̭͓͒̈̄ͩ͝ͅị̮̣̜͇̗̞̲̎ͣ͋͝l̢̦̠̣̦͕͊ȉ̅̚͏̤̲g̛̫̻̻̹͐̄͐ͣh̵͕̬̗͚̩̓t̴̤̲͍͔̆͊̚ - maheuszRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Bread and butter dungeon core story with a non-human protagonist (a native, not reincarnated human). There is of course an advisor figure, monsters and their tiers, levels, mana, classes, and human cities with nobles ruling them. So far, at least. The start is really slow, tho, giving way to more interesting things near chapter 10.
Nothing out of ordinary. Still, that's fine too. - livebackwardsRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5I really enjoy the learning process of the main character and how he progresses with extreme caution and then less and then more etc.
The learning curve, logical/discovering method of the main character who isn't alive for long is very cool to read about and makes for a lot of potential.
The litrpg doesn't hamper or drive the plot at all and it really doesn't give you too much information as to keep you interested in the world.
Also the incorporation of an OP companion is added in a very fitting way as there is not to much hand holding and instead it is more like a crutch that is there if needed which although is admittedly lazy it fits in line with the universe as a hole and allows for more interesting progression as would not have been seen without having more context of the world as the MC is like a newborn in the world.
Highly recommended to anyone looking for an interesting and engaging dungeon core story with minor litrpg elements and slightly average mc/compaion dynamic.
I have found minor grammar issues so that and what I stated above this scores a solid 4.5/5
edit:
story gets better as it progresses. Seeing an ecosystem like dungeon being built and explored is just fun to read and the perspective provided during those sections is sublime. The non-dungeon part of the story starts slow and can be a bit off putting, but the author gets in stride later on and it gets really entertaining and ties in very well between inside and out of the dungeon. Still quite a bit of grammar mistakes, but enough that it doesn't disengage you from the story so it's alright. Still highly recommend and if you enjoy the start you likely will enjoy the rest! Looking forward to more chapters in the future - ShylightRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Don't go into this novel expecting some kind of a revelation, but if you're a sucker for dungeon management like myself it's a fairly good one.
Of course all that is said in other reviews still applies: a somewhat dull start as the dungeon makes it way up from a sentient speck of dust, a mentor ex machina that makes things significantly easier for it and provides plot armor...
However after that part is done the world starts getting nicely defined through the use of multiple POVs.
Style: pleasant, not groundbreaking, the dialogues can get a bit expositionary at times but usually at context appropriate moments. With this being a litrpg the system not being used as a crutch that just throws a bunch of meaningless numbers at a reader is a plus in my book.
Story: plots are usually the weak point of dungeon fiction, this one is not an exception. It's your average slice of life of a murderous rock and its opponents at the point of the review, as par for the course, really.
Grammar: you'll be noticing some mistakes here and there, they don't impede the understanding of the novel usually, but a missing word might occasionally cause you to stumble.
Characters: believable, if a bit stereotypical so far. I cant think of a single critique to put here hence the rating. The only thing I can note is that if you dislike novels with a lot of POVs this one might not be for you. - Shadow13Royal Road★★★★ 4.0Bit of a slow start at the begining of the novel that actually caused me to drop it for a bit.
But once I came back after a week or 2 and got past another chapter or 2 the plot really started to pick up in excitement, depth (for both the characters and plot), complexity, and enjoyment.
Now I am totally hooked into the storyline and ready to see where it goes! - Jack o' the Wistful FlameRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0This dungeon story has some interesting worldbuilding upfront and adapts the ecosystem as a balanced feedback loop for growth trope. There's a good dynamic of new searching learning growing core with older dungeon master mentour. Dungeon grows steadily and stabily with new environments and encounters as the story progresses. Author attempts to incorporate surface polatics with some interactions between key characters and the dungeon. I'll admit that I tend to find many of their interpersonal relationships unecessary and irrelevent to the greater story, but author nevertheless strives to give them life.
It looks like it was meant to culminate in several tiers when the political drama sparks off and meets with the dungeon reaching the same tier as his mentour at which point there would be more real and practical risks, presumably with antagonists who will actually want him dead.
As it stands it's decent as a steady basic dungeon grind, interested to see if author will continue with it. - GoldenCookieRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0You could skip the first 8 chapters and lose nothing, unless you really want to know the thought processes of a baby dungeon.
Aside from that, it's a standard LitRPG fantasy world dungeon story with levels and whatnot. The dungeon has a mentor figure who's overpowered and protects them from all harm, yadda yadda. At least this isn't a blatant self-insert where the main character gets a human form and a pedophilic pseudo-incestual harem of monstergirls.
Overall, decent dungeon core story, keep it up with the monsters. Could use more level building but whatever. - Seeking PolarisRoyal Road★★★ 3.0It seems like this story suffers from an ailment that plagues numerous other stories. A lazy author cruising through life unwilling to put in a little extra effort for greatness. And to explain what I mean by that, this author has plenty of creative and entertaining ideas but hardly puts in the effort to make it really good by checking his own work for mistakes or even staying consistent through the story.
The author also has a nasty habit of skipping most of the informative and interesting and important bits of the story and just revealing things as they go. This takes out some of the most interesting Interactions from the story and reduces them to "oh, you're real form is the size of a house when the biggest thing I've seen is pup sized? Cool you showed me that yesterday and I'm over it now."
All that piled onto a stream of thought kind of writing which seems to be more of a easy cop out than a style choice just makes the style extremely lacking if not outright terrible for the story. 3 stars there for style and that's being very generous.
The grammar has plenty of mistakes and several which completely ruin the flow and immersion of the story because you have to actively pay attention to and parse out the meaning of the occaisonal piled on mistakes in one sentence which can seems to be saying any number of things. This would be 3.5 stars if the author was still fixing the grammar according to edit suggestions but that stopped 5 months ago apparently so I'll be honest and rate it like I see it, 2 stars for grammar.
The story is very interesting and has a somewhat unique take on dungeons and a more hands free style system, honestly the story is what's really carrying the rating here and it would be 5 stars if it wasn't a bit inconsistent. 4.5 stars for story.
And as for the character score, the aforementioned habit of skipping any important or emotional character interaction or reaction makes the characters seem a bit dead and fake with the uncaring mention of that - HextechRoyal Road★★★ 2.5This story starts good for 8 chapters but then the Dungeon Core falls off. An OP MC comes in and takes over for the core in the dungeon building and the story splits in two. By the 60's the Core's story almost gone and the story of the Realm and its characters fully take over. The 70's are turning back to the Core. In truth this is a story of the Realm and the people in it with some Dungeon Core in there.
