Rise of The God Emperor

It is the 52nd Millennium and the Empire lays shattered.The various theatres of war have all suffered grievous losses and Terra has been forced to recall its forces back to Holy Terra, abandoning those that rely on them.The forces of Chaos lay waste to thousands of worlds who have no hope of reinforcement and as such, barely cling to life.The Golden Throne is failing, and the light of humanity seems doomed to be lost as Abaddon the Despoiler leads his vast host on a Black Crusade towards the very heart of the Imperium, Holy Terra, yet even in these darkest of times, there is hope. Roboute Guilliman, the Primarch of the Ultramarines and the leader of the Realm of Ultramar has returned from his seemingly deathlike state to take control just in time to consolidate what remains of the Empire and prevent its complete collapse.Not only him, but his missing brothers have made their way back to his side, in order to resist this thrust of chaos towards the very heart of the Imperium.On the eve of battle, something ancient awakens upon mars. So, this is for all of the Warhammer fans out there. This is a fan fiction, not an actual novel, meaning that it contains my own views and explanations for things that aren't completely explained. As this story takes place through the eyes of the Emperor, I'll attempt to give him a personality fitting of Humanity's supreme overlord, while at the same time remembering that he is human, and not a god.
