Rise of the Archon

In the Kingdom of Ferris, mages are not born but made. Through the might of magic and arms, Ferris has grown to rule nearly the entire known world. Vayne was not intended to become anything more than an advisor to the nobility. His life was set, and he would live and die as a servant, never knowing anything else. However, a vision of his future reveals the terrible truth. Vayne would grow to become the strongest mage of his time, only to fall in battle with strange invaders from beyond the impassible oceans. Will Vayne follow his intended path, hoping to eke out a quiet life of servitude until his world ends? Will he follow his visions, fighting a hopeless battle?
