Ríona's Path

An epic poem written in the spirit of Beowulf, drawing inspiration from great mythical heroes of a bygone age. The story is centred around the life of a young girl who shares her body with the spirit of a dead divine. We witness her battle against the very destiny, which was placed upon her at birth, all while possessing great control over the magical flow, which fuels the worlds of both the mortals and divines.

Ríona's Path is a multimedia project that shares its story through narrative poetry, while also being accompanied by a progressive metal soundtrack.

The world of Ríona's Path was built from the ground up and heavily focuses on the relations between the mortal people and their immortal overlords, between the corporeal Outerworld and the spiritual Innerworld.

Alongside the main poem, I also release world-building, lore poems which fill out the gaps the epic leaves out and enrich the setting.
