Riftwrought

A 1000 years ago the world was irrevocably changed. Rifts to other worlds opened and monster poured forth. Not only this, but some humans began the change - their eyes turning to violet gaining an immense power inside them. The humans fled from their capital city from where the only permanent Rift had spawned, starting life a new elsewhere. Erecting a Wall to keep them safe from the Denizens of the other worlds the humans survived.

A thousand years later Rifts still appeared throughout the continent and every ten years the Gateway Rift, where their capital once lay opened up. Denizens were still about but the Riftwrought were drying up. The Hunter's school had been established when the Riftwrought had first came into this world and this is now where our young hero Tairis, has arrived.
