What does the hero do when the grand quest is over?James Pickering, an officer in the Union Revenue Cutter Service, is shot down over the Planet of Green Harbor. Twelve years later, he returns to Union space to a new, quieter life. But while you can take the officer out of the fight, you can't take the fight out of the officer, and his life still has some interesting moments ahead.

This is a slower series similar to J.L. Curtis's Rimworld, with less action and more daily life of a retired hero, but things will becomeinterestingas time goes on.
