Description
Tony Stark didn't just use the Infinity Stones to do a normie's patch job, that would be silly. Unfortunately, simulations didn't lead to the outcomes he was looking for, leaving him so tired and depressed on top of dying and losing his wife and daughter that he almost pulled a Wandavision, which was just terrible. He settled for dumping the problem on his therapist, namely me. That I happened to be the reformed Emperor of Space Sparta is pure coincidence.

That being said, I love this story. I think it's a breath of fresh air to read a time travel/regression story about a mature character who was already competent so the story isn't all about self improvement and maximising gains, but about making better choices and having to deal with the consequences of uncertainty. Making him a father who is responsible not just for himself but his family is inspired, because it makes the character growth impetus external. Glenn joining the army in the last chapter is a great example. Our MC saves his son, provides him an opportunity for closure, accepting responsibility and growth and the son leaves and joins the military, putting himself in danger.
I have absolutely no problem with a main character who doesn't go through massive character growth (some, yes, because not main character growth is boring), but helps guide or provide an example for other characters, like Emma. I think you've found the right balance so the character doesn't appear perfect but admirable.
If you've read this, thank you and just know that while I respect your choices, I had to make a selfish attempt at convincing you to give it another go :P
