I thouroghly enjoyed my time reading this book and there's a decent chance you might like it too.
The main emotion I felt when reading this book was content, the same contentness that would show up when reading a slice of life. But there was enought overarching drama, plot progression, and just interesting things happenning that it didn't feel boring most of the time.
That and the fact that there was nothing that really jumped at me in terms of a negative experiences lets me rate it 5 stars. Since if I can't notice the flaws on first read, then it doesn't really matter to me.

A strong start with some fresh spins on a classic setup. The character is reasonable and stumbles about in an unfamiliar world. The secondary characters so far are fleshed out and have personalities. The soft magic system is interesting. The writing is well done and pleasant to read. No glaring grammar problems. It checks all the boxes as far as im concerned
I'm a sucker for villainess isekais, and this one is better than most. Looking forward to reading this as it continues!

I like this story a lot and look forward to the author writing more.
It's slice-of-life in the sense that there isn't an over-arching plot (i.e. demon king) or hero journey (dudes not OP) at present (chp. 12). What makes this better than a standard slice-of-life fantasy is the sense of realism conveyed through the MC. He's an average guy making the best of his new situation. As other reviewers point out he's sensible and reasonable from the start and that's just so refreshing to read with a character who's not dealing with trivial problems.
This is a character who acts in a way I might do so myself. Not in the way of a blank insert. Rather, it's as if I heard one of my friends go through this isekai and explained his action as those in the story, I'd be like 'oh yeah that makes sense dude'.
Combine that with an interesting roman low-magic setting with modern sensibilities and, for me, it really hits a sweet spot in literature I'd like to see more of.

The writing flows well and is easy to read and there are enough different elements in the plot that this isn't 'just another Isekai into a novel' story.
The biggest difference is stated by my title - the protagonist seems basically sane and calm, but still fully human, and he handles the original story's main problem in a simple and believable manner. And that is quite refreshing considering most Isekai MCs vow to become OP, somehow remember everything that Wikipedia knows and it always works, try to become Machiavelli, find a dozen exploits in the first two chapters, etc. The fact that he doesn't makes the story easier to get into because the MC's personality is more believable.
