This story is just pure fun. I get it, I'm reviewing at chapter 3, but when you know you know right? And this author has written plenty else to make the call. You should read them too if you haven't, but this one is awesome.
It knows what it is from paragraph one, as will you as the reader, and the MC just pulls you straight into the action.
Grammar is near perfect, style is effortless even in 1st person (and I'm always critical of 1st) and the story reads easily, effortlessly and fast.
Sometimes stories like this overstate the world building... here the author doesn't feel on it in depth, the world just builds around us as she starts working her way through her situation. It's good. Actually it's really good.
If you start reading now, you'll be guiding the MC on her quest, chapter by chapter at her own request... interactive fiction is brave, and skarabrae is pulling it off as bravely as her MC, who is grinding against herself to become the OP boss she knows she is!
