Description
Lenore Wraithwhisper is having a hell of a day. Up until a few moments ago, she was definitely someone else, but somehow she's now trapped in an unfamiliar body with an unfamiliar set of memories and a name that feels strange as hell to say. To top that headache, she's about to enter a fight to prove her worth to the Demon Lord and this is not at all the vacation she'd had planned for herself.

- Sora2Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0Why is this novel so short!! I NEED MORE!! Hundreds of chapters are needed! THOUSENDS EVEN!! I cant believe that I havent read this one yet! I spent an entire day binging it! The story is great and the characters are funny. I am really enthusiastic about this interaction with the deamon lord girl. I NEED MORE! I cant wait for more. This isnt much of a review but I just need the author to know that I NEEED more!!
Now I'm just wasting words for the word count. But really, you need longer chapters, more chapters. I cant belive that I havent read this one until now. I NEED IT!! The little goblins and their glorious leader. The orcs and this new girl who will probably join their group. I need more of it! HUNDREDS MORE!! How much more do I need for word count. 10, 20 more? Should I count how long it will take me to get the next chapter? SHould I just keep updating it more and more until a new one appears?
Why is it taking so long! I'm crying tears of pain waiting for the next chapter! Please keep writing! GAAAHHH!! I'm not there yet. Maybe a few more words will do. I LOVE THIS NOVEL!! GAAAAHHH!! Why isnt that enough! Dang it. Where can I find more words to express how much I like this novel? A thesaurus? Nope. Stopped looking at those books a while back when they gave me a bad paper cut. I couldnt explain how much I cursed that day, and with such nice vocabulary.
Either way, I like this novel and I need more. Thanks for listening to my rant. - Undead WriterRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Ok. So I'll start this review off with the basics. I've read up to the most recent chapter book 2 chapter 24 I think, and honestly I really like it.
The characters are awesome. Each one is more than just a background character to push the story forward. They have lives, they have tails, they have stories that you learn about later not all at once, which brings depth to them.
The action itself is commendable. I have a tough time myself writing action scenes but this story does a great job. It feels like a normal fight and you could see yourself there watching it or experiencing it with the character. It's not like it's flashy flashy bang bang you're gonna die blah blah blah, it actually has skill taken into it and it has more on the facet of your own physical capabilities. It doesn't have the level ups or the easy magic to understand or skills that you can get easily and level up. You actually have to either train or know how to fight to deal with enemies. She hasn't dealt with any major enemies that have major experience in fighting, but that's been very helpful to for her to progress in the story. Not every grunt soldier knows how to do everything with his weapons or even to fight so it makes sense with how things are going.
My favorite part of the story so far is the relationship and interactions between the main character and the demon lord. Honestly I find that hilarious and really cute. I'm hoping for something more between them and we'll see how the story progresses because I feel like it's going to be hilarious and make me smile, but I know that's a far away is off because she's stuck in the middle of freaking nowhere freezing her proverbial butt off. Lol.
I honestly can't wait for more and I wish there was a way to get advanced chapters because I would actually be willing to pay to find more. This is a hidden gem that really needs more attention because it does a great job and is a great novel. Stick with it author you're doing great and I can't wait f - luda305Royal Road★★★★ 4.0So, the gist of the story is a ruling class (or army general) working their way up from the bottom. This is not at all clear from the synopsis nor even the first book (though it's hinted at) and only becomes clear after several books. That's handled fine, ish, but it's not what I was expecting or wanted.
The action scenes are also kind of meh. Not that I have much experience in hand to hand combat, but it seems too detailed and improbably skilled or lucky on her part. - ContradictionRoyal Road★★ 2.0Look, the biggest flaw is that action feels like a bad anime. Trade a couple strikes, posture and talk smack for a short eternity, rinse and repeat. I'm not interested in that, if that's your schtick, go for it. Story starts in some weird tournament/promotion ceremony. M.C. starts off as a leader of 3, in the most unorganized army to ever exist. Doesn't even feel like an army, really. And yeah, the titles already wrong. Grunts are the bottom rung followers, not leaders XD. Spent literally no time working up the ranks. This wasn't what I was expecting, and I wasn't happily surprised. So I'm moving on.
Grammar was fine. Chapters were kind of short. Less word count and more in the plot development sense. More focus was put on the trash talk than storytelling. - RadaghastRoyal Road★★ 1.5Had no issue with grammar, style etc. not everyone has an editor. Story and good progression is where it is for me. But it is always lack of life experience that kills good setups like this. And what makes a story unbelievable in this case? Main Characters that don't make any sense.
There is a glaring problem with this MC. If she is willing to let enemies/traitors who love torture and murder live. Worse, heal them and let them live. Especially ones that want to kill her.
In our world it is a mercy to do so. But in world wehre you are part of an an army of Demons, live in a bleak land where food is scarce, surrounded by enemies who want to kill you, your allies might not be trustworthy, etc. You don't stop and waste medicine on someone that laughs at the torture and murder of innocents. Where the patient could have snuck a weapon and stabbed the MC in the throat. What was going to happen then? The demon army police arrest the murderer and air lift the stricken MC to the nearest hospital? Then we get an episode of them being brought to Demon court?
Will update if they actually make out a good story. Update: Hard pass. It's just a Harem anime. Most of the main people are women, no matter how evil stay with the MC, most of the men are subservient or killed off.
Female demon lord, female blacksmith, female sidekick, female bonded demon, female assasin, female druid, female ork that tortured and kills defenseless people(is not only spared but wounds treated personally by the MC), etc.
Changed the rating from 2 to 1.5 - PadaV4Royal Road★ 0.5MISANDRY, MISANDRY, MISANDRY. Males are portrayed as dumb evil creatures which are promptly slaughtered, while MC surrounds herself with women and even enemy women are spared and let go.
To the point that upon encountering a brother/sister pair of murderers who torture and murder civilian families, the male is killed while the woman is spared, healed and let go without punishment despite their crimes being identical.
