Life is going at a steady pace out in the countryside for Alex Reynolds. The night before the love of his life leaves for Europe, he decides to confess his love to her, only for tragedy to strike. In a desperate attempt to rescue her from disaster, he dies.

When Alex mysteriously wakes up, his world is upended. Forced to conceal the monster he has become from everyone he knows, Alex struggles to adapt to his new body and his new unbridled power.
