Description
Bad intel can be a grave misstep in war, but in a war against the heavens, it can mean the difference between absolute victory and humanity’s extinction. As such, when one of the leaders at the [Strategic Table], humanity’s greatest strategists, suddenly found himself face-to-face with one of the Evil Gods, the outcome was certain: complete annihilation. But Ian’s death wasn’t without merit. When he closed his eyes for what he thought was the last time, something unexpected happened. He was suddenly back to his former self—his 16-year-old self, exactly 10 years before his death, the result of a newfound power: Time Magic. Blinded by his knowledge of the future, Ian immediately begins to map out the ideal future for humanity while being restricted to his role as a mere student at the academy. It wouldn’t take long for Ian to realize the complexity of his actions and their far-reaching consequences. The red string of fate he thought he controlled began to slowly coil around his neck, a slow yet deadly butterfly effect.
How will the self-proclaimed, greatest strategist tackle this fate? From that, a cold monster is born—a monster with authority over Time itself.

Just clicked on it while randomly scrolling through [Latest Updates] and now I am enjoying reading it. This one is kinda slow paced so it seems to still be in it's early chapters. My favourite part of the entire novel is the -Strategic Combat part as written in the synopsis, and trust me you are gonna love it too.
Despite its shortcomings, the author, as a new writer, is still doing a great job of presenting the story.
[STYLE]
I am gonna be honest his style in writing is still a bit amateurish.
The world building hasn't been explored too much as of yet. The author doesn't seem to show too much outside of what is necessary for the story, NO I am not saying that he needs to add fillers or the like, but more details would be appreciated. His scene descriptions are often minimal, which can make it difficult to fully immerse in the story. If he starts writing More descriptively it would draw readers deeper into the narrative. Since the story already looks slow paced more details would be a great addition.
Despite all my complaints, his style is simple and easy to understand. And... maybe has complicated parts too. But still he is doing great.
[STORY]
The premise of his story is great. He knows what he his writing and has the future of the story in his mind. Has compelling plots and has great interactions between characters. Most of it his shown from the perspective of Ian and Ian alone, it has very few POV shifts... maybe too few if you'd ask me. The story is promising and I see potential in it. In many chapters, he skillfully builds tension, leaving so many unanswered questions.* sigh... But he needs to pay attention to details.
At last I'd say have trust in him and enjoy the ride.
[GRAMMAR]
Not much to say here, even if there are a few mistakes that slip past editing he fixes them quite fast. So no problem here.
[CHARACTER]
Well, his characters are well thought out, only thing holding them back is his simple style. We need More scenes and More POVs. I am s - vvIdkvvRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I really like this novel, even though the novel is set at a pretty generic world the story itself is really good. The characters are well written even though they're design is a bit generic. The author has (like I said a lot) written it in a generic world and characters and what not, but the story itself is really interesting, there are really cool mind games and I had a lot of tension while reading this.
- Immortal PeregrinRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5I found this one by chance and got invested immediately. Apart from the MC having cool time powers, the MC using strategy to win over his enemies is the real reason I stayed.
I have to say, the strategic decisions the MC makes are not always entirely realistic to me. Sometimes, it feels like he should have been able to do better, BUT the story more than makes up for it in the latest chapters (around chapter 38) when the MC pulls off a series of maneuvers.
(Yes, I almost got the answer. Call me Sherlock Senior.)
In summary, I like the story. Now to technical stuff.
The story's style is good. It's not anything fancy, just gets the point across. Nothing much to say on tis front.
The grammar is clean too. Sometimes I have to read twice to understand the meaning of a phrase, but it's never a problem. I and other readers pointed out those errors too, which author fixes asap.
The story follows a serial arc format which has worked well for the story so far. It follows Ian's journey as he tries to create the best future for humanity with his knowledge of the future. It's a bit of a slow burn on the central conflict but it's already picking up by the current arc.
There's also an element of the butterfly effect which shows its ugly side quite strongly in the story.
The character work is also good. I can identify some tropes, like the strong best friend, shy girl friend, talented sister, etc, but they are different enough from the norm to be their own characters. Some of the characters have layered personalities as well, like Rin.
So yeah, I recommend you read this story if you like stories like Classroom of the Elite and other stories with smart MCs (if only to understand my ingenuity in chapter 38) - animusrienRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0Disclaimer: This story is slow paced, so this review at chapter 33 is more akin to a review at chapter 10 for many other stories on RR.
At first this seems like a time loop story, but that does not appear to be the case. There has been a lack of exposition on the world we're in, how abilities manifest, and the relations around the MC.
Due to the slow burn nature of this story, at this point I would liken it more to a slice of life academy/high school story. However, based on the backstory and the synopsis, there should be a change coming that sets this on a higher fantasy route. The setting is great and I believe the plot will get there, but it's going to take some time or a major shift in pacing for any real action. That being said, I'm happy to see where it goes from here.
