Description

Lourianne Tome is a mildly talented, underachieving, slightly lecherous summoner who wants nothing more than to live a simple life away from her father's expectations. Those dreams are waylaid when a madman knocks her carriage off the road and sacrifices her to power a summoning. After a fateful encounter with a powerful elemental, Lou becomes something other than human and embarks on a journey to live happily and bring a little amusement to a god tired of the world's status quo.

CONTENT WARNING! HIGHLY SUGGEST CHECKING FOR TRIGGERS

CW:Amoral characters. Violent characters. Evil characters. Manipulative characters. Our main cast are people who think differently and play by a different set of rules.

CW:Sexual content. It is there. It can get...unusual.NO NONCON/RAPE(though there are instances that can be interpreted as dubcon). No extreme stuff. There are shapeshifters in this story. That means some nonhuman shenanigans. You have been warned.

CW:LGBT themes. Lesbian main character. Polyamorous harem. It gets very gay, a lot.

CW:Gore. Rarely depicted but it's there. Torture. Psychological and physical. It's rare but it's there.

That's all the major things. Read at your own discretion.

Reborn from the Cosmos easily places within my top 5 on this site.
From beginning to end I loved this story. From its (mostly) sensical story and logic to every single character that got introduced into the cast.
Now something to get out of the way. This story is indeed very sexual and the story wouldn't be able to continue without it. It's very much ingrained into the plot and the characters but I wouldn't argue that it's just porn with plot. It's simply a story with smut being very much a core part to it. It also works well for me, and I'm a male; what can I say.
Alright, I believe the biggest strength so far for this story are the characters. Every character that gets introduced feels real and engaging. The main characters all see character development, with Lou being the most obvious as 95% of the story is from her POV. The villains are great and there's been plenty of times that I get a laugh from how it all develops.
Another strength is the story. I love it. The plot is great and its not too slow. I wouldn't want for it to quicken up; despite how much I can't wait for future events. As I mentioned, the underlying gears to the story feels sensical. The story and the realities they've put in stone make sense. My only concern is how the nobility treat their security. Which Noble household only hires 2 guards for crying out loud. I also wish they'd expand on the magic a bit. Not saying it's bad, but it could be more fleshed out and expanded. But that's just my opinion.
I'm also glad to mention that the English and style is well done. And that the story is true to its description. I can't describe how many times I've been disappointed by poor writing; especially when I see it's up voted and rated 5 stars by what I presume are either bots, or uncultured swine that can't tell their ABC's apart. The writing is good. There are a few errors here and there, but nothing an editor can't fix.

I love this story because it has everything.
Fighting/politic/love/hate... It's a long journey, which progress and evolve, ever changing. You can have 20 chapters about fighting, 20 about politic and than 20 on character developpement. The stakes are only growing with each arc, and even if the events happening aren't very originals there is some surprises along the path.
    Characters are very good:
-The main character is sweept away by the events, her growth, her entourage... She makes (big) mistakes, but grows constantly.
-Her companions have their own cultures/morality and are overpowered, which is very interesting because they mainly follow the MC by interest, giving a curious dynamic to the group with constant manipulations.
-The other characters all have their objectives and personalities and feel like the heroes of their own story, until the MC and her group appear like a wreacking ball in their life.
The writing is good, but even I can see some mistakes...
Now one chose to know: the story can be extreme in many things (violence, smut...). Some can dislike it but I think it's essential to the story, you don't depict cruel and decadent characters and their actions with pretty words. Just don't hesitate to skip a few chapters if needed, I did.

Starting off, I’m more of a lurker than an active participant on royal road, however, I genuinely believe this should garner more attention that it currently has. This is one of the most well written smuts I’ve had the pleasure of reading, on top of incredible story progression and near perfect grammar.
The characters are fleshed out with incredible personalities that make it a wonder to read, and the difficult moments where morality is questioned is brilliantly written.
I started reading this from a shoutout and have since been reading this non stop for the last few weeks, I hope the 10 months until I’m up to date can last forever.
Thank you for writing and please keep it up!

There are many things I enjoy in a story, this has a great many of those, good smut, fun characters, a shapeshifting protagonist. It's everything I look for in a story.
Not that's it's quite perfect, but it will remain one of my favourites for quite a while i expect

The multi-arc plot of this story is that of corrupting the protagonist from a lazy bum into a motivated sex fiend.
Smut scenes are decently well spread out, you're never going too long without returning to the plot.
The protagonist's laziness is an excellent choice to balance unconstrained shape shifting: form and technique improvements only happen when they're forced on.
I only have one major complaint: While the protagonist is nominally a female, the story role they occupy is that of the male in the "weak male / strong female" trope. This has caused a lot of cognitive dissonance while reading because I keep having to correct myself in my head.

This novel starts as many other novels on this website : it's funny, has a catchy concept and appeals to...certain sensibilities (expect lesbian sex). Entertaining, and pretty decent as far as overall quality goes.
But the great part about it ? It gets better overtime. Like, seriously better. And it just keeps getting better. For a frame of reference, I'm reading Return of the Runebound professor, Pale lights and BoC at the same time and it's up there with Pale lights currently. Maybe even better because it doesn't have the lengthy and overly complicated developments.
The style and writing, the characters, the world building, the plot, everything keeps getting bigger and more refined as time goes on.
It's a slow burner of a story, with very slow coming plot points. But that's just what's great about it, the author takes the time : to build up his characters, to expose the world, its dynamics, its hierarchy and stratas of relevance. It builds up to this complex, multilayered reality where different species work on different time frames, with different cultures (actually different, not just different shades of the same thing), different agendas and you slowly realize, as the MC grows, how vast the world is.
It feels amazing, it reads well, and bonus perk : it's easy to pick up again if you drop it for a couple months.

Quick synopsis: This story is about Lorainne Tome. She kept to herself and studied the magic her noble family is known for: Summoning. On her way to the Grand Academy she is kidnapped by a madman, and her throat is cut, and she is used in part of a summoning (along side other young ladies).
Thus we meet the titular Cosmo, a being of great power. It kills the madman in sparkles, saves Lou in an interesting way, and sends her somewhere to grow accustomed to her new form.
There is sexual interaction in multiple forms. There is a "Mental" aspect of magic that has all the great and terrible implications you can expect. There is death, violent and bloody.
If you stick through the first two arcs, this is a story for you. If you don't, don't bother reading more, as the story is unapologetic about its willingness to be unkind in interesting ways.
If you enjoy this story, it contains: interesting romantic implications, explorations of the complexity of magic in this world, business negotiations, culture shock, overcoming fears, and sex between shapeshifters.
    Quick description of the Arcs.
Arc 1: establishing Lou and meeting elves.
Arc 2: return to Human lands with confidence.
Arc 3: going to the Grand Academy and learning.
Arc 4: learning to overcome a fear of the Royal family.
Arc 5: end of year practical at the Grand Academy.
Arc 6: preparing to, then fighting monsters over winter break (in progress at time of writing)

The story (so far) is essentially a slice of life story, with a little action mixed in here and there. I'm assuming this is gonna change l based off of what I've read, and this makes me excited to see whats about to happen. I love the characters, and especially the protagonist as she's a literal blob of cosmic... blobness. Unlike other monster reincarnation stories the protagonist actually utilizes her new characteristics creatively. And instead of doing something basic like a goblin or slime she's become this half cosmic entity. Really enjoyable so far, and I can't wait for more.

Not sure what exactly I expected when starting the story; maybe something along the lines of a overpowered protagonist, a few love interests, and some humor. Nothing heavy or complex, just something lighthearted for me to read between bigger and heavier stories. I'm very happy I was wrong.
The characters are the strong point of the story. Deep complexity, different non-standard moral sets, one of them rooted in an interesting culture, subtle but constant development of especially the main character, fears, likes, dislikes, everything one wants from characters within a story. The morals of different characters are highly interesting, definitely not something most readers would agree with, but consistent and completely understandable when one knows the background and experiences of the person in question. A central point of the story is watching how the main character's conscience gets oh so slowly and subtly eroded by her close companions. Not to the point that I would call her evil, just maybe callous. People who don't like main characters with differing morals will probably not like this story, but it's a treat for everyone who wants to see a constant, complex, and subtle shift in personality caused by a multiple complicated characters interacting (and manipulating).
The relationships go the same way and are anything but simple. No harem protagonist who instantly charms every eligible person and turns them into a bland member of their harem. No, the characters and their relationships stay multilayered. I would even call them unhealthy for everyone included. In short, definitely far from usual.
On top of all that the story is a perfect example how smut should be utilized. It isn't something just tacked on as fanservice or the story doesn't contort itself to accommodate it. No, it is used as an additional (and very effective) tool to further show the relationships and feelings between the characters (definitely not just mushy ones). It fits neatly into the story and
