A 26 year old salaryman named Hector in NYC was going to have the night of his life. He was chosen for a manager position and Guest of Honor at the company party.
But fate had other plans.
When he wakes up in what he believes is his hotel room after a failed speech, his dreams are shot. But things are about to get much worse. Staring into the mirror for the first time, the body he wakes up in a younger body, the body of the Cursed Prince, one of the most feared wizards who ever lived.
Despite the name, Hector must start at zero, with no skills, money or anything to his name. He will have to hide who he is, run from everyone and everything that could kill him, as he tries to survive by any means necessary in an RPG-like world with creatures ofepicproportions. Lying, stealing, cheating, and even killing are something Hector will have to learn by trial of fire.
He's determined to get strong and survive anything this new world throws at him, no matter how hard.
After all, this new body should count for something, right?

- Arthur InverseRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0The story so far has been a pleasure to read. The pacing is almost perfect where we get concrete snippets of information to help us with the view of the world and what is in it, while also keeping it fast enough to keep the plot moving at a comfortable pace.
The added images for the format only help to keep me interested in how Hector's powers will manifest in the story.
The world he has been suddenly sent to from his botched promotional speech seems to be one in the dark times where a church is the overseeing power of the land, and a majority of the population is kept in the dark as the working class. He is pushed through a blistering number of hurdles to run away the church that has labled him as a cursed prince, finally finding relief in a town he is chased to. A kind soul giving him a helping hand in his time of need, and giving him the breather he desprately requires.
So far I've completely enjoyed the story and would recommend this to anyone who likes world building at a pace that feels just right, and what I believe is turning into a really great redemption story where Hector is finding his place in the world and his own view of himself. - Lin MeiliRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Reborn as the Cursed Prince: A Giant Monsters Isekai LitRPG Progression Story by Dexter May is off to a good start. The first chapter starts off in modern-day earth, but by the second chapter the main character, Hector, transmigrates into the body of a dark magician. He starts off as physically unfit and with very little magic, so there's nowhere to go but up. There's also an interesting dynamic between him and his frenemy. I like that.
The grammar is good, with minimal mistakes.
From what I've read so far, it looks like the main character is an antihero type. Could he also become evil?
