2. Finds redemption from the deeds of her previous life

3. Tries to get along with a cat who (like most cats) believes she runs the world

This setting has a lot of potential; steampunk, inquisitions, government sanctioned magic vs free magic, and I'm sure plenty more as we get further in.
I feel more could be made of the main characters former life and sometimes the story is written almost without enough context for an upcoming twist. That said it is an enjoyable read and my relatively minor gripes can easily be ignored through just enjoying the read!

I am very much enjoying the characters in this story. Their interactions are real and heartfelt. I also applaud the novel setting. The story moves along with good pacing. I like the development of the secondary characters too. Lots of unexpectedness and original ideas. I definitely recommend this story and am excited when waiting for the next chapter to drop.

This story is very creative with its world. I started at chapter one and now caught up to 67. This just caught my interest with its creative world. I would recommend it to anyone. This story creates a unique world. The characters are interesting and it’s easy to read. The chapters flow nicely and its holds your interest.
