Description
Note this booked is marked complete: It has two books and the character arcs are finished but the over all plot was finished in an epilogue instead of book 3.
Come and live life with Todd.
Answer a single ad to freeze your brain. What’s the worst that could happen?
Well, simple: you wake up as a starship.
You thought you were signing up for a second chance—"experimental cryogenic storage," they called it. A way to skip past a few economic collapses and wake up in a better future, cancer-free and whole. Instead, your consciousness has been ripped from flesh and grafted into the cold steel of a starship hurtling through the unknown.
No crew. No instructions. Just the vastness of space and the voices of alien factions vying for power.
Now, it’s up to you to carve out a new existence among the stars. Navigate distant solar systems, forge uneasy alliances, and survive battles that could shatter planets. Every choice rewires your very being, shaping your destiny among the endless void. Will you become a respected trader, a ruthless war machine, or something entirely beyond human comprehension?
Your ship. Your story. Your survival.

- theLegionWithinRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0fun sort of isekai and/or space opera, the premise sort of reminds me of the bobiverse series. the story really starts to get good after the Betrayal, when Laz goes off to seek... unconventional avenues to power.
well written & edited, few grammatical errors, engaging backstory, well written characters.
very nice work! - MilatheGemMonsterRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This story is definitely my kind of story. Despite my personal one-sided rivalry with the writer's uploading speed.
Every isekai fan with a taste for great humor would love this. Not to repeat what another reviewer said but Fran and Master, the reincarnated Vending Machine and his strong girl does come to mind while I read this but it provides its own original spin on both.
The fact that Lazarus just schedules identity crises and such are hilarious to me. The pacing is exceptional. Right from the beginning of each chapter you're immersed into where the action is taking you.
I personally love the lack of harem trope and big-boobed woman. Lazarus grows on you, you can understand what he values and where he's struggling before and after he's reincarnated. There is the right amount of mentions toward his past life while not taking away the experiences he has in his new one. There is a lot of relatability from references I understand and little quirky tidbits that have you laughing because you get it and it all works because he used to be human.
I'm definitely going to continue reading this until the author slows his enviously fast writing speed that doesn't sabotage the quality of the story or he continues at his neck-breaking speed and indulges us readers with his amazing story. - adxRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I grew up on Asimov Heinlein and Clarke. ( Full disclosure- I've been devouring books since 1972 or thereabouts). Proper hard SF as it was known.
So this story is a joy to read. The writer has created a set of relatable characters with a bit of depth and more than one single driving motive. There's a good bit of universe construction with enough nuisance that it's not just cardboard cut out cowboys in space. Some enjoyable technowidgetronium and reasonable motivation for it's restrictions and possibilities.
The writer has clearly spent time learning how to write and the proofreading is near perfect. I've seen a couple of rough patches but way less than some books that I've paid Money for.
Thanks for writing. I do like the occasional art works that pop up. The family photo really made me smile. - BLACKSP0TRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0So far this book is an absolute pleasure to read! The perspective feels natural and immersive, making it easy to connect with the story. Emotions are described in a way that feels genuine and relatable, pulling the reader deeper into the characters' experiences. The world-building is still shrouded in mystery, yet remains logical and engaging, keeping me eager to uncover more. You absolutly can"t stop the story!
You're weaving a world that intrigues and captivates— please show me mor of that future..! - AlxRojRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0What hook me of this book is the fact that its not an OP main character and no seudo/fantasy element so far, only scifi and I like that, it is not often that a book only has scifi, I really hope this book is soon available to buy on kindle in order to read it when travelling or similar.
- LOLsuitRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5Lots of classic space opera stuff happens. But it may happen super fast, with a scene lasting only a chapter or 2 before rushing on to the next wonder. Meanwhile the people are developing like one of those animated aging videos, suddenly changing attitudes or developing skills from nowhere.
It is entertaining. But it is not slow, and so it feels more unrealistic than necessary. - AstraChevalierRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5Interested to see where this will go. The low rating is due mainly to the first few chapters which were really hard to read through. BUT it’s starting to show some potential so I’ve followed it and I’m interested to see how the upgrading plot goes. I really want to like it because the concept is so cool
- DrakoRemRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5Disclaimer: This is my personal opinion and if it wasn’t my cup of tea it doesn’t mean that you wouldn’t enjoy it. Give it a shot.
First about the title to this story. I read through the first few chapters because the synopsis reminded me of the “we are legion (we are bob)” book series. But it isn’t. Which is good (not a plagiarism) and bad (it’s missing in science, character development, plot, etc.) I’ll focus on the characters (MC really, the two kids don’t amount to much) and the story.
The MC is… well, generic. Put any person in his place and nothing will change. He doesn’t have character. Nothing about him is memorable. His actions aren’t influenced by his temper, personality, values, experience. He just reacts to the now.
the story is a sandbox. I think the author didn’t come with a plan for the plot. It evolves as he writes. Maybe it’s not the case, but that’s how I felt. We don’t have a goal, we don’t have established MC, we don’t really have any of the immediate crisis. And the fast pace doesn’t help it.
My conclusion is: there’s not really a reason to keep going. It didn’t hook it. I’d tried to give it a chance but it didn’t work for me. - animetine16Royal Road★★★ 3.0So the story starts out with a decent premise, but it quickly loses me when the author casually glances over necessary info about his current needs or lack there of. Also everything feels very minimalist, maybe I am just more of a hard sci-fi fan but whenever everything is just reduced to FUEL it feels like a cop out. The main character also feels very empty without very much substance. Every side character just happens to accept their lot in life without really any struggle and the background information for the whole story just feels lackluster. Overall if you're looking for more of a very casual sci-fi with terrible quick combat and a flat feeling to the characters this is the story for you.
- AcerbicRoyal Road★★★ 2.5OK. With this one its important to manage your expectations, alright?
Its not sci-fi, its not adventure or action-packed story. It is a fairy tale. Yes, yes it has battles and exploration and characters, but essentially, this novel is not about that.
Glue that disbelieve up with some tough stuff, simple suspension will not do. Enjoyable, sure, but you gotta accept a lot of handwaving and just let the flow take you to a land of gingerbread houses and good vibes.
