Betrayed and murdered, Nick Valiente wakes up two years earlier—his memories intact, alongside the life experiences of Arlize Dentragon, a legendary warrior-mage from another dimension. Armed with future knowledge, Arlize’s strategic brilliance, and arcane-tech powers that blur the lines between magic and technology, Nick vows to rewrite his fate. Determined to dominate the college arena he once neglected, Nick methodically plots vengeance against those who betrayed him. Yet as he delves deeper into campus life, he realizes things were a lot more shadowed than he believed.

A shadowy tech conglomerate is working to manipulate the world through experimental neural interfaces, mysterious military factions operating in secrecy, and the ancient Arcadian System awakens after centuries. As mana and advanced alien technology flood Earth, Nick must navigate corporate espionage, unravel hidden family legacies, and master newfound abilities while forging alliances in a world spiraling into chaos. With his enemies closing in and reality itself fracturing between digital consciousness and physical existence, Nick’s choices will either doom humanity or elevate it.

Rebirth Protocol is an intelligent, gritty, emotionally layered progression fantasy that blends academic intrigue, corporate conspiracy, and pulse-pounding action reminiscent of The Primal Hunter, TBATE, and Iron Prince. Follow Nick Valiente as he rises from betrayed victim to revolutionary power, shaping humanity’s destiny with each calculated step.

After reading chapter 1, I was completely swept away and lost track of time and place. I love the parallels between Nick’s college courses (Calculus brings back some vivid memories) and mastering his emerging magic powers. The characters remind me of my college friends, and I’m excited to keep reading to see their story arcs unfold!

Pretty methodical, well paced, enjoyable, a hint and only a hint of potential op abilities, but it's focussed on strategic thinking, careful moves, steady practice and so on.
It's not the usual reincarnation or time travel, and he's taking his time to really build his story.
Well written, well thought through, I'm enjoying it immensely. Also like the longer chapters.

First and foremost, I was blown away by the quality of the writing. You never know what you're going to get on Royal Road, and this felt like a book pulled straight off a bookstore shelf, not an amateur side project.
The style stuck out to me the most. The writing is clean, the flow is great, and the prose spectacular. Every now and then, a particular line would catch me, and I would have to go back and reread it just to admire the craftsmanship.
The story is solid. The first chapter alone unfolds the events in a short, engaging manner, while hinting at what's to come. There are a lot of different elements at play: death, rebirth, past lives, new powers, betrayal, and conspiracies, oh my! It will be interesting to see how the author weaves them altogether in the end.
Grammar is flawless so far. No complaints.
Only a handful of characters have been introduced by chapter three, but so far everyone is solid. The main character, Nick, having seized his second-second chance to avoid the mistakes of the past, is determined to get it right this time. As such, he comes across as a no-nonsense individual, one unafraid to claw his way to the top. My only minor complaint is that his dialogue sometimes feels flat, which very well may be intentional.
Overall, Rebirth Protocol is a highly polished read, brimming with potential. Can't wait to see where it goes.

Nyxaris has a way with words that draws you in as a reader and keeps you wanting more. Each step Nick takes is one you want to follow along with. I found myself, even early on, intrigued not only by the MC but by the world itself.
Im am personally a huge fan of world building and Nyxaris does this in such a beautiful way. I found myself easily visualizing the world around Nick as he tries to re-navigate a path he has walked so many times before.
Nick is so well written. He feels real in a way Ive been craving from books lately. You can relate to him as he relives the last two years over and over again. Each time he tries to make different decisions. Maybe going left instead of right will change something in a way that matters.
Nyxaris brings a fresh breath of air into the reincarnation genre. Even though Im still early in this story, I can already tell its easily going to become one of my favorites that I will reread just to see how many new details I can catch on the second, third, and even fourth go around. I can’t wait to read more of this story and others from Nyxaris in the future.

This is such a really fun adventure! I’m genuinely enjoying the entire concept from beginning to end. The story is full of surprises, clever twists, and memorable moments that keep me entertained and excited to read more. The characters are vibrant and relatable, each with their own unique personalities that add depth and charm to the narrative. The world-building is imaginative and detailed, creating an immersive setting that feels both magical and real.
One part that stood out to me the most was the April Fool’s chapter. It was such a creative and unexpected addition to the story. The humor was perfectly timed, and the way it broke the fourth wall added an extra layer of fun. It felt like a playful wink to the audience, reminding us that stories can be silly and joyful while still meaningful. That chapter made me laugh out loud and gave the entire adventure a more dynamic and lighthearted tone.
I really appreciate how the story balances humor with excitement. It’s clear that a lot of thought and creativity went into crafting this experience. Overall, I’m having an amazing time following this journey, and I can’t wait to see what happens next as the adventure continues!

If you're into the idea of getting a redo at life, this story is fantastic; Especially if you're into bonus magic powers, tech, academics, and school drama! The plot is layered in the best kind of way.
The MC Nick returning and reincarnating two years earlier is such a neat take, and a hard thing to pull off. Nyx does it so well! His character is so easy to relate to, avoiding past mistakes and making changes to benefit his future and aid in his long game of revenge. His transformation of jock-who-doesn’t-care, to careful-intelligent-strategist-with-a-plan is one that many people can find appealing.
One of my favorite parts of the story is the way we occasionally dive into Nick's head. Her descriptive and beautiful writing fully immerses you in the story, and little details here and there make Nick feel so real, such as the description of the smell of shea butter on his mother's hands in his memory of her. His memories are all very vivid and detailed, layered with emotion and care. I’m a huge fan of emotional writing, and Nick’s memories really make you feel more up close and personal with the MC.
Overall, although still early into the story, this is a fantastic mix of "Wow, I love this!" and "Why didn't I think of a great idea like this?". The author has fantastic grammar and an eye for detail, carefully crafting through a complicated timeline of events that she weaves with excellence!
    Highly suggested!

So I love the book. It's well thought out, when you read it, you can tell the author doesn't rush things and probably have a bone to pick with the minor details which is a good thing, it might look long but it's something I appreciate.
The words per chapter is long but it is progression. There’s no unnecessary filler; the pacing feels deliberate and rewarding, with each of the 17 chapters offering meaningful progression. It's well pace.
I understand why the story holds back. It’s carefully building up not just the protagonist but also the supporting cast, revealing their motives and themes as well. As an author myself, I would have loved deeper monologues to dive into certain perspectives and their thoughts but that’s purely personal preference.
Then there's the system progression, it's fair and it's not immediate ''Here's some op things''. Also Nick usage of this is something I appreciate. It's smart, analytical and thoughtful. It adds a layer of intelligence to the plot and also a somewhat realistic approach to the situation he's in.
Still wanna see fights though like go crazy brr type shi but that's just me again. Not against the author writing
Overall it's a good read, give it a try!

    Hi Nyxaris,
I just wanted to take a moment to tell you how much I am enjoying Rebirth Protocol: The Return of Earth's Guardian and the Sword-Magus Supreme. From the very first chapter, I was completely drawn into Nick Valiente’s journey. The way you blend science fiction, fantasy, and psychological depth is outstanding, it’s a rare combination that makes the story feel both epic and grounded. I love how carefully you handle the world-building and progression mechanics. Every new ability or piece of technology feels logical and earned, which makes Nick’s growth incredibly satisfying to follow.
Your characters are one of the strongest aspects of the story. Nick is not just a protagonist gaining power; he feels real, with struggles, doubts, and complex motivations that make his victories feel meaningful. The supporting characters are also well-crafted, with their own arcs and personalities that enrich the narrative. The balance between action, strategy, and introspection keeps the story exciting while also giving it emotional depth.
I also appreciate the attention to moral dilemmas and personal choices. The story challenges the reader to think along with Nick, making the progression feel like more than just leveling up, it’s about the consequences of decisions, the weight of responsibility, and the cost of power.
Thank you for creating such an engaging, thoughtful, and exciting story. I eagerly look forward to every new chapter and can’t wait to see where Nick’s journey leads next.

I read a lot of progression fantasy and litRPG. I willingly suspend a *lot* of disbelief on a regular basis to enjoy reading the fiction that I do. This story broke me.  To suspend this much disbelief, I'm going to need pharmaceuticals.
The MC is an expert in everything... martial arts, coding, hacking, investment, business strategy, surveillance, and counter surveillance, aethor/mana, biochemical pathways.... Every professor he meets in his first week of college thinks he's brilliant and insightful. Every student who he interacts with is part of evil corporate surveillance ring... He was murdered (and regressed back in time) so he knows some of the future, but in his previous life he was an emperor/martial artist genius/military genius/aethor expert, and he just remembered/discovered that his parents in this timeline were murdered... And his brand spanking new partner in crime who is also a college student and looking for her maybe murdered and/or abducted brother, trusts him instantly after 20 minutes of conversation (just because), *and* also happens to be an expert hacker, with personal connections in Bogeta where his grandparents are currently living.
I think the only thing missing in the story so far is an explicit call out of his plumbing skills... but give it time. I'm positive there's a plot twist involving a kitchen sink coming up soon. I unfortunately am going to miss it, as I'm out, but you kids have fun without me.

While the premise is interesting—a man reborn with memories from both a future timeline and a past life of power—the setup feels weak and unconvincing. Despite his supposed experience and awareness of the danger around him, the protagonist acts with pettiness rather than strategy, undermining the story’s potential. The foundation doesn’t inspire confidence in the direction of the plot, so I won’t be continuing the book.
