Countless mixes of weaponry and magic combined with a dozen highly advanced AI programs create a place where a person could leave behind the world of reality and become a knight in shining armor... Or perhaps something a bit on the darker side.

Dale finds himself in a horrible situation and is offered a chance to turn his life around and find enjoyment in life once again within the spaces of the digital world where he can be free of all his Earthly worries and cares, and maybe make himself filthy rich in the process! What happens when one character in this world becomes a pivotal lynch pin that could change the entire game in ways the developers never intended?

I am new to both this site and the genre, and this is both my first review and book of this type. I hve been reading Sci-Fi and Fantasy books for over 20 years now, so I like to think I am a decent judge of writing at the very least. At the time of writing this, (17 chapters in) I can say that I am definitey enjoying the style of writing and world building skills of the author. Both in game and out have a detailed world that tends to pop quite nicely into my mind as I am reading.
Yet more good things! Plot holes! There are very few and ones that do show up are either explained or settled rather quickly. That makes me very happy as it allows me to focus solely on what is happening without my thoughts wandering off to what is going on with this topic or that.
I have noticed a few grammatical errors, very few in fact, and even those I nearly missed while being caught up in the flow of the story as a whole. Making up for that fact is the sheer length of the chapters. I have looked at a few books here and was turned off by 60+ chapters but only having a page count of 200... Not my cup of tea there, but this story has delivered good content and detail without going off track too much.
My only main complaint is the blue boxes... While the content of them are good, they are rough and messy, not at all like I associate with message windows in a game. I saw the author's note that there was trouble with these and was being worked on, so I hope that gets smoothed out quickly.
For the time being, I would give this a 5/5 and am looking forward to more content!

Well, what can I say? I thoroughly enjoyed the first 12 chapters. I must say the premise is good, it's a tradional VRMMORPG story with a few twists.
What really kept me going is the continued interaction between real and VR worlds - which I always seek when reading these types of novels. Furthermore both the world building IRL and in game are done very solidly.
The build up to the game world is lengthy, albeit needed for a good fiction of the sort.
A few (like very few) hiccups in grammar but nothing a proof read cannot fix.
My only complaint, and I'm using this word rather gravely, is the lack of secondary characters. I'd like to see more players join him on his adventures (and try to give his current friends a less 2 dimensional character persona: don't fall into the cliche of the girl he's going to get and his sidekick) - I understand it is still early in the story.
One part I didn't like and correct me if I'm wrong is that only those 10 players are allowed on the hardcore version of the game. It should be more of a choice so people can choose to for example trade off a smaller degree of pain in exchange for higher rewards in game.
    But 5/5 for now :)

I'm digging it! Chapter length is good, characters are developing well. Paragraphs tend to be a bit short and the MC is a little expository for my taste, but not overmuch. I'm a fan of the premise and I think the skills are well done as well as the pacing.
All in all, very solid and I eagerly look forward to the next installment!

When I found this story it was about midnight. It is 3 AM now and I just devoured all chapters available at the time this was written (16) and it was well worth the tiredness later today ;) .
The story, characters and mechanics seem/are very well fleshed out and are realistic and captivating. I very much like the MC, it is nice to see that he's not crazy OP, but still above the casuals not because of luck but because of skill. Another positive is the continuous real life interaction without breaking up the game, this makes this story seem much more believable.
The style is pleasant to read, my only critique would be that paragraphs tend to be very short, it can get a bit weird to look at, at times, especially when all of the first lines are indented.
The grammar/spelling is very good, I only found about 5 errors, 4 of them typos. Vocabulary and sentence structure is excellent, I didn't notice any words that were repeated annoyingly often or similar.
