Hello there, Jormlung here, author of Re:Hamster, first of all I want to tell you guys that this story was made by a fellow member of the den and so I first read it the moment it was created, long before Penna02 posted it on RRL. And so I can tell you, yes it's true, at first a lot of influence in this story come from Re:Hamster and that would be stupid to deny it, but...
'At first'
By that I mean that Re:Ferret, sure for the first pair of chapters can be seen as pretty close to Re:Hamster, but that's only the case for those, soon after Re:Ferret go in complete different direction that do Re:H, that's why please if you can't get out of your head that's it's too close to Re:Hamster, then first read it while thinking it's a spin-of of Re:H, and then as the story progress you will see for yourself that the story slowly become completely different...

BLUF (Bottom line up front):
There is only three chapters so there isn’t enough to properly make a review. That said, this is definitely a story that has the potential Top 50. Not too much comedy but it is a good story thus far. Again, this is just the beginning…
Style:
The author uses a very simple style. It’s pretty easy to read as everything is written chronologically.
Story:
The author fluidly connects what-would-be cliche events in another story in a way that makes them unique and special. The story has progressed at a reasonable rate and doesn’t have any glaring defects like bad cliffhangers.
Grammar:
It could be better proofread but that doesn’t keep me from reading a good story.
Character:
N/A because there hasn’t been enough time to do a proper study of character development. That said, I do like 3/4 of the characters introduced.
EDIT:
So... the characters are awesome. Yep. That's all there is to say.
