Description
Book 1 Available on Amazon!Book 1 Stubbed November 19thSynopsis:Sometimes the multiverse needs expanding. That's where I come in. Unfortunately being a deity isn't all fun and games, as there are always things working against you. Not even the Overgod of the Multiverse can change that.Longer Summary:Twelve souls were chosen to expand into the void surrounding the multiverse, and were given a grace period in which they could expand their domains in relative safety. Once that period is up, however, the created universes will be able to interact with each other and other universes...as well as be at the mercy of the Void. I am one of those souls, and it's not easy. Between trying to raise up gods to defend my realm with, guiding mortals, accidentally making a xianxia world, and dealing with my own children, I have my work cut out for me. Now I know why back on Earth gods worked in mysterious, invisible ways. There's just too much to be done.
What to expect:Worldbuilding in the most literal sense, lots of POV's, Xianxia elements, and more. The LitRPG elements are very light, be warned if you're coming in for that.
This is a rewrite of an old story. It's been about six years since I dropped the previous, and having grown as an author and person, I decided to revisit the concept. The old one will be left up,for anyone who wants to revisit it or look at it from a legacy standpoint.
Updates will be twice a week, onWednesdayandSaturday.

- DeathwingminionRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This is a rare gem of a story with a godlike protagonist, who creates a cultivation-based universe.
It offers an incredibly refreshing take on divinity and the creation of worlds. Our MC is god who not only is trying to run a newly created world but also take care of his children. He or She is one who values parenthood and its responsibility, with compassion.
We follow them as the main character creates their own children to inhabit a world, and give them the free will to create their own realms inside his own universe he created himself.
The protagonist isn’t some all-knowing god, but an angel soul how got promoted to become a god in a new universe. He fails and learn from his mistakes, perferring rather learning to guide his childerns, nurture them, and take care of the world they build alongside realms his children. The pacing feels good, letting the world breathe and evolve without too much urgency or overused tropes. Worldbuling is probably my favorite part with how unique all the races are from different gods.
I was especially like was the creator’s like personality he has—as a being who steps back when needed and intervenes only with care, learning how much to help and let his children take care of each other on their own. His relationships, whether with his divine children or mortals, feel genuine and heartwarming. The supporting cast is equally compelling, each adding something unique to the overarching narrative, with the main one being his god childrens and few mortal characters.
For me, this is great storytelling of gods done right. If you’re tired of shallow cultivation power fantasies and want something more. I highly recommend this. I can’t recommend this enough. A great story that will linger long even after you finish reading. - Maitreya_BuddhaRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0An exceptional work that blends profound spiritual concepts with the structure of a LitRPG. This story completely breaks away from typical Xianxia tropes and instead explores fundamental questions about creation, love, and the responsibility of a god toward his creations.
While many Xianxia novels are often driven by narcissism, harem-building, and distorted portrayals of Buddhism and Daoism—ultimately turning these philosophies into grotesque parodies of their true meaning—this story offers the exact opposite. Instead of a self-centered power fantasy, it unfolds as a tale of genuine love, compassion, and the deep bond between creator and creation.
No mayor spoiler but something about some development in the story which would hurt the reading experience of the new reader a little bit imo:
The portrayal of the creator is especially remarkable: not a distant, omnipotent ruler, but a being full of tenderness, humor, and responsibility toward his creations. The 64 gods, as fragments of his soul, are not just compelling characters but also embody the principle of unity in diversity.
The Void as the starting point of creation serves as a powerful symbol of Buddhist and Daoist ideas. Rather than the usual power struggles and egocentric pursuits, this story reveals that true enlightenment and creation arise only through love and the acceptance of one’s responsibilities.
A skilled writer conveys the full spectrum of human emotions in their work with natural ease, never making it feel contrived or artificially structured through plot armor. Their storytelling resonates authentically, capturing the depth of human experience.
In contrast, a less proficient writer often remains at the surface of human behavior, depicting characters driven primarily by impulses, inclinations, and ego. The result is a narrative that feels shallow, failing to touch the true essence of being human—that we are souls having a physical experience, not merely physical beings driven by lust and other phe - MajolemonRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Woah, it’s been a while since we last heard from Goose. I remember reading the original Breath of Creation years ago and loving the concept, and I’ve been hoping for something to scratch that same itch ever since. So, do keep in mind, this review may be tinted slightly by nostalgia.
In this story, we follow the creator of a universe through all the troubles, joys and wonders that come with such a role. I think Goose does a fantastic job at telling the story and really takes world-building to the next level, heh. The characters are great, and despite the MC being the pinnacle of overpowered protagonists, there is still tension. Seriously, this story is great and it is absolutely a must try. One tiny critique would be that I’m not sure how much I like the sassy bits from the system, but it’s a -very- small part and likely just a matter of personal preference. Overall, I would definitely recommend reading this. I’m loving the rewrite so far and looking forward to more. Welcome back! - Mammoth73Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0Read the original Breath of Creation awhile ago and it was one of my favorite novels on this site, and was super sad when it was canceled. Immensely excited for the rewrite and that as far as chapter 3 it seems to be just as good as the original. Cant wait for more!
- Nyxus0Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0Beautiful story, and even better plot. Not enough stories like this, with overpowered MC's that aren't actually overpowered. I also love that the MC cares about their creations even more than themselves. The latest developments are also super interesting and I cannot wait for more interaction between the newly introduced characters. Small reccomendations for the author- have a few POV chapters from some random mortals in the worlds. Just for some flavor yk? And more from the POV of "Mr. Boxes" overall amazing, can't wait to keep reading.
- QueenInRagsRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0God stories are always fun. This story particularly does a good job at keeping this old and forgotten genre a nice do over. Grammar, prose, and everything else feels pretty top teir. Flow, characterization, and plot all seem to flow very well. And so far I have very little complaints.
- RoskilatorRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Really good story about becoming god and philosopichal meaning of that to human. Most of important characters are in fact characters that have personality. And aren't linear. This novel is one of the best (maybe the best) novel about becoming God and creating Universe (if it isn't first it is second in that sub genre)
- shaunwinsorRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5This story is great and here's why:
1 The story takes it time to develop the characters it introduces. We don't only see the MC's perspective but nearly everyone's. Letting the characters naturally develop and grow.
2 The story has great build up. Nearly every chapter doesn't just explore the world if also help builds up the next obstacle or issue. Especially was the case with the shadow. Though I won't say more as that's a spoiler. - bluhx2Royal Road★★★★★ 4.5I will preface this review by saying that the pre-make version of this story was one I had read to death years ago, and heavily influenced my interests as I grew older, so I am super biased.
That aside, this story is great. It hits all the right buttons for me, and is definitely an upgrade from its predecessor. I like how the story doesn't follow the old one completely, and there is plenty of positive variance with how the story is unfolding. The characters feel more whole, the plot feels less rushed. I like how
the monkey wrenches in general are dealt with in this story, as in the pre-make, the ones that came after the Mad Scientist felt tacked on and strange compared to the setting. Though that could change in the upcoming arcs.
This story has been a great surprise to me when I first saw the remake as I had lost all hope for it to come back. I hope this time it can go keep trucking on. - Moonlit DragonRoyal Road★ 0.5[Edit: After consideration I have lowered the review to 0.5 stars (5->1->0.5)]
This books end the Shadow arc terribly. All the way up to that I'd say it was very good but it simply throws to hard for me to be able to recommend this book. There are some other minor complaints like Kei who is a Mary sue born abomination and needs to have their power greatly decreased along with their importance(or just retconned out of existence preferably) however the main problem is simply that the ending to all the buildup throughout most the book is - to avoid spoilers - very poorly handled and unsatisfying.
