Rat bastard

“That of magic and dragons have become nothing more than myth, it has become an age of gunpowder and steam. With the industrial boon driving the world, no longer are there kings or queens, only the institutions. No longer are quests giving by god’s but now the demand from spokesmen. No longer will there be counties, only the hive cities, and never again shall there be bloodshed for in the great future of the automation there will no flesh.”

Rat bastard follows two main characters, Rat, a lanky humanoid mouse whose found a talent as a thief against his own wishes and oil’skin a goblin who has appointed herself the beauty, brains, and brawn of the duo. Together they ‘check up on’ restricted areas, ‘barrow’ trinkets, and ‘play hide and seek’ with authorities. All until they grab the attention those who live above the earth’s crust.
