Description

One pleasant, temperate afternoon, a mother wolf takes her triplets to the park to enjoy the weather.  The triplets romp and play, ten years old with ideal lives.  Loving parents, good health, and all the energy and good humor in the world.  They don't see the other worldly visitor that's taken an interest in them, eager to snatch them away.

Kidnapped.  The parents distraught.  The triplets are at the mercy of their new father, a bear with the power to reshape wildlife to his will.  The police cannot help against such an evil.  Will the children bend to his will as well?  Will their parents ever find them?  And will another otherworldly being be able to help them in time?

I wrote this some time ago for a friend, using some of his characters, the wolf family.  He also provided the cover art.  You can find him here.  www.x.com/ThyWordIsTruth1

I went in with no real expectations, and after the first chapter it became clear that I was in for an interesting and ultimately suspenseful journey.
I had initially thought this was going to be a hero's journey through the eyes of David.  Any expectations I had built up by the end of chapter 1 were subverted almost entirely as the plot began picking up into swing following that.
The decision to not really leverage David throughout the book was an interesting one, but by the conclusion it ultimately made sense that the real interesting components of the story was the family of victims and the moment to moment things they endure.
David is not really protrayed as much of an "interesting" character half as much as a "man with a purpose".  Since he is effectively an unwavering component in the story, you are left getting to know the rest of the  cast, and boy, you really get a feel for the characters through here.
This was a really fun read that got exciting through the end as the story wrapped up to its finale.
Well done.  Great fun.  This was my first story read from this author, and I really do look forward to seeing what else is in store for me from his vision!
