I lived my long life among the shining towers of steel. I raised myself high as I brought my enemies low. I faltered and picked myself up, only to soar to new heights. But in the end, I lie alone with nobody to hold my shaking hand—only the lonely sky bare witness to my dying breath. I think once more, why, what was the point in this life? What did I accomplish with my worldly deeds?

A sigh and an unfamiliar yet familiar voice echo inside my soul. "You have yet to understand." Then darkness enfolds my consciousness once more. Nothingness comes to swallow me whole. It would seem I must try again, why doth these spirits or gods not tell me this lesson I must learn.

The review sistem forces me to write here.
the reality is at this point the title covers the expectations of the story.I will change this once this gets further along hopefully into a more glowing and useful review, but for now im just writting 50 words apologies sigh. That being said I like the character so far specially the kid.

The main character reincarnates in the body of a low cultivator. Lack of knowledge and circumstances leave him crippled. Ironically, it helps him fulfill his most imediate goal, leaving the sect he was part of.
Universe is interesting and the character's view on life and cultivation are unique. He takes a new path and picks up some strays.
The harem part ... I really don't like harems and while this story is well written, an objective view will make things look worse. That's why the .5 star is missing, not because I dislike harems.
The first wife is the overbearing princess type that currently seems to be working on guilt rather than love. If her background is any indication, I expected her to have a different worldview, making her even more unlikeable, but for some reason she's incredibly pragmatic and down-to-earth.
The second wife blackmailed her way into the marriage basicaly. There are a number of reasons, but none of them is love.
Oh, sure, there's love after, but ... well, I can understand why the MC tried to drown in booze.

Entertaining so far. I would give it at least half a star more if the chapters didn't need so many grammar connections. They make me pause to make sure I read them properly. Also to warn, this seems to be a slow burn or have more slice of life focus early on. Regardless, it's good fun.

Characters feel inconsistent, saying why they want to do something and then immediately doing the opposite.
Romantic interest feels unrealistic. Someone who has viewed the protagonists as a pathetic ant below her station, suddenly falling in love with him? Sure, he saved her life, but that’s not the focus. Her thoughts aren’t on how brave he is, or the like, its he’s hot and for some reasons she mysteriously knows more about him than she ever knew.
The tenses for words are all over the place, and thus makes it hard to edit the grammar. The grammar is above average for a free work and the fact is hasn’t figured out its tense.
Nothing stands out as particularly good yet, though there is potential with refinement.

Once upon a time there was an old man and woman that traveled with the MC, after the MC left a cultivator sect. The old man's name was Jin. The lady was very good with plants and taught the MC how to properly collect a special type of grass.
The MC was attacked and the old man and woman were shot full of arrows. The MC buried them.
The MC takes Jin's stuff and goes off on an "adventure" that includes a fluffy "daughter", a dead snake, and marrying two women.
This story reads like a twisted fan fiction of a popular story on Royal Road.
