Description

Getting his revenge felt great. Right up until the bills came due.

Alex and his quantum-powered AI companion might have broken free from Apollo’s threat to shut him down, but he is still on the hook for millions he doesn’t have, and the mega-corp isn’t going to forgive and forget. Desperate to keep his freedom and his company afloat as their illegal funds dry up, Alex tags along with the Black Flags on a mercenary contract on the other side of the globe.

Physically recovered but still coming to grips with the synthetic part of himself, Alex struggles to adapt to what his life and body have become. Stuck in a losing battle with his inner demons, he and Sophie gather resources and allies as they prepare to wage war against the rogue artificial intelligence that threatens the world.

His actions do not go unnoticed, however, and he soon finds him caught in a lethal game of cat and mouse. Firmly in the crosshairs again, can Alex survive the new threats against him without losing himself in the process?

This series features an anti-hero protagonist, does not shy away from complicated relationships, and is not fade to black. 18+

Quantum Proliferation continues the story started inQuantum Beginnings - Entangled Fates Book 1.

Constructive feedback is welcome, I consider you all Beta Readers in this process. My current plan is to drop an Amazon free day and link to it here so you all get a permanent copy of the book for helping me along this journey.

    Story Summary:
The main protaganist, Alex, having narrowly avoided a fate worse than death at the hands of the Apollo corporation  has to stretch his limits to create a sanctuary not only for himself, but also the ones he holds dear. With another quantum having gone rouge, the clock ticks down as the team scrambles to get Sofie out of the hands of the government while dodging those who would hunt them.
    Style/Grammer: 5/5
Told from primarily the protaginists point of view, with the occasional shift to a side character for alternative perspectives that add relavance to both the plot and the world view.  Limited (if any) grammatical errors and a consistant viewpoint  until natural break points lends itself to a smooth flow. There was a natural balance of 'adult' content that adds to the story without seeming forced or over the top all the while deepening the characters relationships and backstories.
    Story: 3/5
The story flows well and has a pretty decent balance between descriptive phrases creating a dynamic picture of the scene and action to keep the plot rolling forward. While slow at the start (I call it the 'Last Time' syndrome, where the author as to catch readers up on the key points from the last episode before starting the new tale), the book soon gets up to speed and won't let you stop until the rollercoaster either makes that final loop or everyone falls to their doom (We don't really know becuase of a guy named cliff...). Probably the thing that I had the hardest time with was the time progression. I can take several chapters and break them into 'arcs' of the story but the transition between these events (which is suppose to take some time, weeks in several cases) are on the weaker side. I would almost rather see a clean break before certain events (like the gaming expo) where we cut from alexs point of view to an interlude of sorts that can give a better narrative of either world events or showing time moving forward. The only other issue I took note of was
